Slightly piggy backing off another thread in this topic but just really curious about this.

Obviously we've all heard of some very unusual suggestions on this site and we can all think of a celeb that's opted for something very unique but in your day to day life what would you say is most unusual you've come across?

For me it'd probably be Maverick for a boy and Lavender-Lily for a girl.

Nemcy....bless her. She's no longer with us.

ButterflyBitch · 21/11/2023 20:03

Ace. I also know a Honey which is rather sweet but slightly odd to have a term of endearment (and a foodstuff) as a name.

Siblings called Bubble and Anakin. Didn't know them but their mother couldn't stop performance parenting in a park which involved using their names 80 billion times so everyone knew what they were called.

Helnathan. Although I have just googled and it's in fact a biblical name, but vanishingly rare.

Some.of the names quoted on this thread are quite cool, others, unfortunately...what the hell were the parents thinking?

SH23B · 21/11/2023 20:05

Hendrix and Tennyson... brothers I think.

Oh good. A "let's laugh at people's names" thread. Hurrah!

Call your kid a stupid name...get stupid comments.

Also a boy with the surname Davidson, whom his parents had named...Harley

BlueEyedPeanut · 21/11/2023 20:11

I met a girl at college called Crystal Glass. She did get bullied over it in school. People called it a stripper name. She was named after one of her maternal grans. I'm guessing her parents thought it would be a bit of harmless fun to give her that name along with her dad's surname.

Xianavane-Iona (pronounced Shanava-nay-Iowna) - her mum thought she had learning difficulties because she couldn’t spell her name in infants.
