Hiya!
I’m trying to decide between Alice and Amelia. Love them both but can’t decide. Please let me know which you would choose from the two, thanks x

Alice! I just love it.

Drttc · 23/10/2023 20:23

This is a funny one for me! I had chosen Amelia originally for my DD but suddenly realised after a few weeks that it went horribly with our surname!! So we went with Alice instead :-) Not sure if that helps - they both have a classic feeling to them!

MaloneMeadow · 23/10/2023 20:24

I think Alice is nicer, more timeless + elegant. Amelia screams 90s/early 00s to me! The French Amelie is lovely though as an alternative

marshmallowfinder · 23/10/2023 20:25

Alice is so much nicer. I think the 'mealy' sound in Amelia is really awful. Such an ugly noise and word. Uh mealy uh.

SpringSummerDreamer · 23/10/2023 20:25

Alicia?

BoleynMemories13 · 23/10/2023 20:48

I much prefer Alice. A timeless classic.

IDontLoveTheWayYouLie · 23/10/2023 20:48

Alice

Alice I think. They are both very popular.. but Amelia shot up whereas Alice is more of an evergreen classic.

Alicia (ah-LISS-ee-uh) is very pretty and less popular so that might be an option?

Workawayxx · 23/10/2023 21:16

Alice 😍😍. It was on my shortlist for Dd but she ended up Louisa as I loved it as much as Alice and there was a family connection.

PickledScrump · 23/10/2023 21:16

Alice definitely

PassMeTheCookies · 23/10/2023 21:18

Alice for me. Lovely name.

Ibizafun · 23/10/2023 22:15

Love Amelia

KirstenBlest · 24/10/2023 17:24

Alice. They're both classic but Amelia has been extremely popular for about 20 years and seems overused

Daisybuttercup12345 · 24/10/2023 18:44

I love Alice x

Junebugbaby · 24/10/2023 19:36

Definitely Alice for me. It's such a sweet classic name. To me Amelia is a bit trendy and something that was very popular a few years ago

Theoldwoman · 25/10/2023 21:11

Both are in my top 5, so I am probably no help.

Depends on surname?
Middle name?
Siblings?

Alice is slightly in front for me.

SneezyEvie · 26/10/2023 17:00

Alice but also like the suggestion of Alicia as a merge of the 2.

MrsJPinkman · 26/10/2023 17:00

Alice - Rose.

ThreeKneeRepeater · 26/10/2023 17:12

Alice.
Amelia has a medical meaning. Absence of limbs.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 26/10/2023 17:25

Definitely definitely Alice. One of my all-time favourites.

LulooLemon · 26/10/2023 17:27
