Harry Potter names

I love all the names in Harry Potter, like Draco, Sirius, Abraxus, regulus, Arcturus.
I obviously can’t use some of them because they’re just too associated with Harry Potter, and I think the others are just a bit much, for someone who isn’t Greek.

Would love suggestions for boys names that could work instead, or even just ideas of types of names I may like to look for. I’ve tried googling constellation names for example. thank you!

My sons middle name is Rubeus

And just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's cruel. Naming a child X Æ A-Xii is cruel. Albie is just a diminutive of Albert. It's a normal name.]

I don't like the name Betsy. The sound makes my skin crawl. BUT I don't think it's cruel to call a child that.

Lots of the HP characters are named after stars. Google a list of star names, you’ll probably find some you like. Or names of planets perhaps. I was desperate to call DS Jupiter but DH wouldn’t let me.

There isn’t a Hermionie in Harry Potter.
Hermione is a normal, though uncommon name. I know two, both elderly, so long before HP came around.

I love Septimus, but you'd probably have to pop out a few more before you can use that name.

@MaloneMeadow Look at the spelling is what the PP means. The name is Hermione not Hermionie.

Most of these names are quite sensible, what is wrong with names like Ambrose, Silas, Remy, Rufus, they’re quite typical names
the only problem with these apparently ‘ridiculous’ names is that people like you may be rude. But at least my child will know who to avoid then.
