Brother for Herb

Ds1 is Herb Osbourne Surname, we’ve decided on Edwin as a middle name but we’ve shunned our previous favourites as they are too feminine sounding. At the moment we have:
Iggy
Ziggy (might be too feminine)
Hayes
Sonny
Sullie
Nash
Huck

(I know a young Herb. His parents named him in homage to their penchant for weed! He has a brother with a non-drug related name.)

Herb and Nash sound like a cool jazz duo from the 1920s.

Cael will be heard as Kale the leafy green, and Osias gives a sci-fi vibe.

I second Herb and Nash!
Iggy and Ziggy are very unisex which you’ve said you don’t want?
Sullie is a monster from Monster inc which my dc watch constantly so avoid.
Sonny just sounds a bit hard and smooth like hitting your head on a concrete surface so I’m not a fan.
Huck is cool - I like it too Herb and Huck sounds great and you can give him a copy of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn!
Cael is a vegetable and sounds very American and a bit dull.
Osias is cool and you can nn him Ozzie. It reminds me of the artist Osias Beert.

OP is Osias after the painter or Genshin Impact? Ds used to play Genshin constantly and I recognise the name from one of the gods. Either way my mind goes back to the Flemish painter!

It’s not after either! Dh and I were looking at names that sounded like Osiris which we didn’t want to use as it was too much and came across Osias!

That’s the style dh and I were hoping for! Ds was actually named after a Kiwi reggae band and his middle name is from the band Ozzy Osbourne. Edwin is a family name though.

Ds wasn’t named after weed, funnily enough he’s named after a reggae band from New Zealand so fairly close however I’m not a stoner! Surely that’s like calling your dc Whisky or Marlborough Reds!

i chickened out with Ziggy and went for something more conventional. I worried in case he was a bookish librarian/“
lawyer type and couldn’t pull it off.
As it turns out, he’s a musician/DJ type and floats around festivals in a psychedelic bucket hat. I’m kicking myself 🤣

We are deffo leaning towards Nash! At the moment we’ve got Nash, Huck and Osias nn ‘Ozzie’ left on our list. Dh and I don’t really want another nature name as Herb wasn’t chosen in that way, he was named after a reggae band called Herbs.
