Hi. What about these names? Surname is Rossi. We are however English and have this surname as my husband was adopted by Italians!

Emilia - I like it a bit boring now tbh. I prefer just Emily or something similar like Emmeline

Isabella - nice enough, a bit frilly. I prefer the simplicity of Isobel

Francesca - nice enough but really dislike Frankie. I quite like Fran or Chesca though

Alessia - not a fan

Leonora - love it. My favourite from your list

Gabriella - OK, not keen on Gabby. There are 2 in my daughters class at school though

Marcella - not a fan

Eleanora - lovely

Carina - not a fan
Mariella - prefer just Marie

Louisa - very pretty

Eloise - not a fan

Imelda - not a fan

Julia - not a fan. There are 3 in my daughters class!

Martha - nice enough

Natalia - nice enough

Esther - lovely. I like it shortened to Essie

Sophia - OK, a bit dull

i like them all apart from Julia we have similar taste in names! I like Amelia better than Emilia though

My favourites are Esther and Natalia. I love the nickname Talia as well!

The others are all pretty.
I prefer Juliet to Julia.

Francesca - sounds like she has a father or grandfather who's rocking all over the world

Marcella - with the surname will be assumed to be March-el-a
Eleanora - same as Leonora
Carina - ok but makes me think if a car
Mariella - bit frilly
Louisa - nice
Eloise - sort of hard to say it. Will be Ellie
Imelda - ok but Marcos
Julia - nice but if I heard Julia Rossi, I'd write it Giulia
Martha - best so far
Natalia - ok but long
Esther - like but with the surname makes me think of Wester Ross
Sophia - pretty but overused, would hear it as Sofia Rossi
Evelina - don't like it at all, will be Evie
Olivia - overused not great with the surname

The names ending in a or r will run into the surname
Louise Rossi is very pretty but Louisa Rossi will sound like Louise Urossi

Thanks! Yes, lots do end in A but not all. Did consider Alexandra but not sure I like Alex on a girl which feels inevitable.

my favourites are
Francesca - strong but feminine, with good nn options
Carina - international sounding but simple spelling and rare. The one I knew never had it abbreviated but Rina could be sweet

several of the others are quite frilly or don’t have good nn options

Really like Francesca

Nearly all the options are very long, 3 syllable names. Fine with the current surname, but if she ever changes it, and even if not, she might be stuck using a shorter nickname forever, due to the given name being SO long!
These are my immediate thoughts to the names, but obviously if you like it, go for it.

Isabella- Prefer Isabelle or Bella
Francesca- really like, but don't like Fran as a nn as sounds like an old lady
Alessia- Prefer Elisse or Alisa.
Leonora- don't like. A bit like you'd hoped for a boy called Leon, and had a girl
Gabriella- don't like. I think of angels.
Marcella- fine, but not keen
Eleanora- Prefer Eleanor. Why make it even longer??
Carina- fine
Mariella- fine, but prefer Marielle. Again- why make it even longer?
Louisa-fine
Eloise- fine
Imelda- deadful!
Julia- Like, and not so common now
Martha- Awful. Martha Stewart, vineyard, just sounds dowdy and old
Natalia- Like
Esther- not keen. Always reminds me an ester in chemistry

Sophia- too common and old lady, grandmother from the Golden Girls
Evelina- Children's hospital. NO
Olivia- Fine

Francesca, Gabriella and Sophia are all my favourites. My DD 1 has one of these names and the other is my DD2 middle name and the 3rd was on our list. I think they all sound great with your surname.

Also like but not as crazy about Louisa, Emilia, Natalia and Olivia ( but a LOT of Olivia's now)

Others are nice enough but not to my taste.

Well I have a Louisa and if I ever had another she would be a Natalia so I'd have to go with those!
