Hi. What about these names? Surname is Rossi. We are however English and have this surname as my husband was adopted by Italians!

They are all lovely names. Louise, Natalia and Imelda go the best with your surname.

Love Mariella. Mariella Rossi sounds super elegant.

I don't like Esther with Rossi, it runs together.
someone suggested Isobel but any of those 'issy' names don't go well with Rossi

i think you need to consider all the usual shortening if the first name. That should eliminate a few!

I actually think the 4-syllable name roll together nicely with a 2 syllable last name.

I don't like the name Martha at all. I did have a not very nice aunt with the name but regardless to me it does sound old-fashioned in a non-charming way. I don't go much for imelda because of Imelda Marcos and the shoes. Most of the list is very pretty. I'd try to use one that was easy to spell and hear. People always mishear my name and then have no idea how to spell it if they do hear it. It does get wearing after a while.

I particularly like Gabriella.
Gabriella Rossi sounds like a glamorous 1950s Italian film star who will zip around rRome on a vespa wearing capri pants and red lipstick. Gorgeous!

Natalia or Gabriella for me. Love Talia or Tally, and although I wouldn't be keen on 'Gabby', I'd head it off by using either Brie or Elle/Ella.

Emilia - I love this. It was always on my shortlist. Much prefer it to Amelia. I know so many Amelias, but have only ever met one Emilia, and she was lovely. I also like that it can be shortened to Emmie.

Isabella - Another of my favourites. So pretty. I much prefer it to Isabelle (which seems to be everywhere), and don't know as many Isabellas.

Francesca - I like. Could be shortened to Frankie.

Alessia - Beautiful. I love this.

Leonora - I like this, and have never actually come across one.

Gabriella - Pretty as a full name, but not keen on Gabby.

Marcella - This is probably the only one I'm not keen on, but not sure why. Just personal taste.

Eleanora - Pretty. I like Eleanor, and this adds something more to it. Could be shortened to Nora.

Carina - Love this.

Mariella - Love this too. I actually had this on my shortlist at one point.

Louisa - Pretty, and again I don't know many.

Eloise - Love this.

Imelda - I actually like this. The only time I have ever heard it is a character on Grange Hill in the 1980's (but I'm in my 40's and old enough to remember that - most people won't be).

Julia - Pretty. This seems to be coming back into use just recently, which is lovely.

Martha - Another of my favourites. I've always liked this. I think of the maid in The Secret Garden.

Natalia - Pretty.

Esther - I've grown to like this recently.

Sophia - Love this. Probably my favourite on your list.

Evelina - Pretty sounding.

Olivia - I like, but know so many.
