Sister name for Alexandra

Hi, hopefully it won’t be too outing. We need a name for our second DD due in few months. First daughter name is Alexandra with nickname Sasha.

need something that’s similar ie international, not too novel and not too English(welsh/Scottish etc), but that can be shortened into something more unique.

i like Dina but not as a complete name, only as a nickname. But to what?

I love Veronique (husband doesn’t)
Victoria (can be Vika/Vicky)
Pauline
husband likes Edie and Stephanie but I’m not keen
maybe Alice?

other than that I’m really struggling!
not Maria, Anna, Lily, Lucy, Lydia or Zoe
also can’t use Emily or Nicole although I do like these

what do we do?

thank you 😊

Alexandra is a regal name, so I'd look to Victorian/Edwardian names for some ideas: Mary, Louise, Alice, Beatrice/Beatrix, Elizabeth, Victoria, Eugenie, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Maud...

Next doors DD is Eliana which I think is lovely. Can also be shortened in a few different ways.

I do quite like Stephanie though.

I think you need a name of equal weight.

Happyhappyeveryday · 12/08/2023 18:23

Perhaps Thea, short for Anthea.
Alexandra and Anthea. Lovely.

Anastasia (Stacia, Stacey, Anna, Starsi etc.)
Natasha (Tasha, Nat)
Francesca (Chesca)
Raphaela (Raffa, Raffy)
Georgina (Georgie, Gina, G)

A name as regal and refined as Alexandra needs an equivalent sibling name for balance.
