Short, simple boys names

We don't know yet if its a boy or a girl! But thinking about names anyway. We agree on lots of girls names but can't find any boys names for the shortlist.

Dh likes short, simple boys names like were common for our generation. Eg Adam, Ben, Chris, David, James, John, Rob, Tom etc.

I like most of the above list too except we have close friends and family with these names so they're out! Or worse, names of my ex-boyfriends are included in the above.

Help me think of more names in this sort of style? Generally one or two syllables, simple names, suitable for all walks of life, you know what I mean. Many thanks

John
Guy
Hugh/Huw
Rex

I'm not keen on shortened versions of longer names.

Yes me neither - for example my dh likes Alexander but I don't like how it's default-shortened to Alex. Like, people won't even ask, they'll just say Alex.

Saul, Laurie, Cal.

Saul might be my no1 favourite tbh but dh has a colleague called Saul (who I've never met, not like a close friend, although perfectly nice guy apparently) so he says that's weird.

I'm like aaargh on the one hand you don't want an unusual name, on the other hand we can't have a name belonging to anyone you even vaguely know! Lol!

Dh is usually a very reasonable man...!

Jack
Jared
George
Luke

James, Mark, Luke, George are all one syllable. Ian is probably due a comeback along with Mark. (and Jeremy, Julian, Timothy - but they are all too long for you).
