Violet or Sylvie/Silvie

Which is your favourite and why? 😊
Ive been set on Violet but thought of Silvie today and I love it.
Middle name is Kate

Really like Sylvie! I think I slightly prefer Sylvia, but Sylvie is also just lovely. Sweet enough for a baby but elegant enough for an adult.

I really dislike Violet, sorry. Charlie and the Chocolate factory connotations and the “vile” similarity put me off.

I like Sylvie. I know a lot of violets and it unfortunately has bad connotations for me. Sylvie is pretty and elegant.

Both are lovely, but Violet wins for me, so pretty for a little girl, then classy and elegant when she is grown up. Also reminds me of the beautiful flower of course.

Since you've chosen Kate as a middle name, I think Violet Kate flows well, and the two names have a similar vibe, I don't think Sylvie Kate works nearly as well.

Sylvie is on our list, I really like it. Don’t like Violet personally, not really sure why but think it sounds a bit harsh to me.

I really like them both but slightly prefer Violet.
