Unusual but classy baby names?

Please throw any suggestions at me - both male and female as we don't know the sex yet.

I would love something very classy / traditional but something you don't hear every day! I love 'Grace' for a girl but I know it's quite common.

I also like 'Ethan' for a boy but a close relative has a son called that so that's out too. Other than that my mind is stumped...

Is Grace used that much at the moment? There are lots who are now late teens/early 20s but I didn't think there were so many younger ones. Lovely name.

Dd3 is 15 and has so many Grace's in her year!

Noticed a lot of the names mentioned crop up in Shakespeare and other classic literature. Timeless and creative.
Noticed a few Benedicts, was there a Beatrice yet?

There aren’t any Grace’s in our nursery, I think it’s a beautiful name.

whathaveiforgottentoday · 16/07/2023 15:40

Romilly.

I've only taught one in 30 years so unusual but it sounds quite classy.

So hard to get unusual names that are unusual but also kinda normal.

NovemberRainbow · 16/07/2023 21:32

Go for Grace, my DD (8) is named Grace. It was in the top 10 when she was born. We have never met another Grace of any age. I think it comes high up on the list as people use it as a middle name, because it suits most name combinations.
