I've got a while... Due date is early Feb/late Jan. Thanks!!

Last name: Begins with N, a place, 2 vowels, ends in Ton

Her sisters' names: Thea Erinrowe Miriam, Isadora (Adora) Elodie Willow

Thea and new baby will be only a year and a bit apart in age but new baby and Isadora will have almost 5 years between them.

Opinions and more names (especially boys!!!) would be awesome thanks!!

  • Fern (Nature-y)
  • Rosaline/Rosa but not Rose and defo not Rosie
  • Elizabeth/Lizzie

Thanks,
xxx Cora

Thanks!!! So you like Elizabeth. I wouldn't put Charles, it would just have to be Charlie.
More suggestions for boys anyone???

Thank you @KirstenBlest

If you aren't ever going to call him Charles use Charlie
Elizabeth is timeless but the diminutives tend to come and go out of fashion
In my age group Lisa and Beth were popular but seem dated now. Lizzie doesn't seem to date and is so cute.

AlbertaWildRose · 11/07/2023 18:40

Aurora rhymes with Cora and Isadora, so I'd be avoiding that one. I think Saffron is beautiful.

KirstenBlest · 11/07/2023 18:41

For boys, I like James, Peter and Michael.

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 11/07/2023 18:43

You can’t have Adora and Aurora (and Cora).

I love Fern and Elizabeth. Hazel is also nice.

Yours boys names seem pretty ‘safe’ compared to your girls names. What about something a bit more unusual (maybe still
nature-themed?) like Peregrine, Aster, Rowan (not unusual), Griffin, Dillon?

oldnorsesaga · 11/07/2023 18:46

More suggestions for boys:
Cedric
Lewis
Sylvan
Florian
Elias
Magnus
Sorley - or Somerled - it's apparently pronounced Sor-lee
Winter - good name for boy
Wilde
Hawthorne
Fox
Desmond or Edmund
Frederick
Jasper
Marcus
Cecil
Jeremy

AdoraLovesCake · 11/07/2023 18:46

I am so bad at boys names @Clettercletterthatsbetter !!!

@KirstenBlest Can't have James (bad experiences) but the others are nice. Lizzie and Charlie sound good.

@AlbertaWildRose Thanks, I love Saffron too!

I mean baby will be born in winter!

Jasper is good but not too keen on others. I really am bad at boys names...

Me too! I struggled so much with my two boys (I could have named ten more girls!)

Same :) @Clettercletterthatsbetter

I have soooo many beautiful girls names that i collected over the years but I have never thought about boys names until now. I would use instantly all the girls names on my list but would question the boys. And baby has to have two middle names too!!!

Saffron Newton(?) sounds clunky. Why only give clues about your surname when you've given so many details on your first names!

Lizzie is cool and sounds good with your surname.

Newton not surname.... But agreed @WillyLows Saffron is not great with a surname ending in -ton.

Thanks!!

Saffie as a boy middle name??

OP posts:
WillyLows · 11/07/2023 18:58

Saffie is a girl's name. Raffie is good?

KirstenBlest · 11/07/2023 19:05

Saffron Placename might sound too Saffron Walden. I can't dissociate the name from the taste, sorry.

Rosa is nice but I wouldn't know how to say Rosaline. Rosalind is more straightforward.

If you like Jade you might like Wade

It's ok @KirstenBlest

I'd say Rosa-Line (like a fishing line)

Not keen on Wade but thanks for suggestion
