DH likes the name Ellie. I don't hate it but would prefer a longer/formal version on BC to give her options.

I like Eleanor, but DH doesn't.

Elanor - said exactly the same way as Eleanor (the second is is silent anyway) and it's the Lord of the Rings version. Will only work if your DH is a LOTR fan.

It was Samwise's daughters name, and a flower found in the Elven woodland Lothlórien.

Downside is you will have to spell it every time. And when you get a school place and the council have helpfully 'corrected' it for you you will have to go change the school records.
