I love Cecilie (as in Bahnsen).

Ooo yes love Cecile!
Or Camille.

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 20/06/2023 07:43

Cecilia.

Spelt properly like that, though.

Hewlettthedogsout12 · 20/06/2023 07:50

Definitely Cecily. So pretty.

DuchessOfSausage · 20/06/2023 09:13

Celia.
Cecilia gets misspelt. Cecily is too much like Cecil, but I do like Cicely. Sisley is a brand.

Viviennemary · 20/06/2023 09:19

I like them all except Sisley. Is that even a name. I've never heard it before.

Fivebeanchilli · 20/06/2023 09:21

Cecily is lovely.
I do like Cicely as well.
Sisley is awful.
Celia is dated for me.
Cecilia is far and away my favourite but I really dislike the Cecelia spelling.

17caterpillars1mouse · 20/06/2023 09:25

I like Cecily best

Celiac seems too grown up sounding for a small child (I know. I know they are only small for a short time it just seems a big name)

Cecelia is too princessy sounding for me.

I don't know what to say about Sisley

FlounderingFruitcake · 20/06/2023 09:27

Sisely in a skincare brand, it’s one of those french pharmacy ones like la roche posey but it’s also sold at sephora and all the big department stores e.g. john lewis. So not that. Love the others though and Cecelia is my favourite but it would be better still if spelt Cecilia.

Hollyppp · 20/06/2023 15:27

Thanks everyone! Okay not Sisley :)

Cecily. My current favourite.

Sisley is a surname.

SneezyEvie · 21/06/2023 14:55

Cecily is my favourite although you have you pray she doesn’t have a lisp!

Barleymilk · 21/06/2023 14:58

My mothers name is Precelly(after the Welsh mountains) and Celly for short.
A really beautiful, unique name.

LulooLemon · 21/06/2023 15:16

Cecily

itsmellslikepopcarn · 21/06/2023 15:19

Cecelia!

Purpleboat · 21/06/2023 15:24

Cecilia is my favourite, but think it also depends on middle names surnames and sibling names.

2bazookas · 21/06/2023 15:27

I have a friend Cecily, pronounced Sissilee.

DappledOliveGroves · 21/06/2023 15:29

We have a Cecilia. It's hit and miss as to whether anyone spells her name correctly, however!

TheMurderousGoose · 21/06/2023 15:30

None of them.

Loquebanter · 21/06/2023 15:31

Goodness knows what Sisley is supposed to be - but Cecilia (NB spelling) and Cecily are both lovely.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 21/06/2023 15:31

I would choose Cecily personally
Don't like Sisley, sorry

Viviennemary · 21/06/2023 16:44

I googled Sisley. Its a medieval English variant of the name Cecily or Cicely. And I thought it was some modern made up name. Still dont like it though.

adriftabroad · 21/06/2023 16:54

Cecilia (spelt properly)

She can be Cecie, C, whatever diminutive you want. Unusual but known and sounds classy and pretty in all European countries. Especially ones with Saints. Santa Cecilia is November (I think)

Barleymilk · 21/06/2023 14:58

My mothers name is Precelly(after the Welsh mountains) and Celly for short.
A really beautiful, unique name.

Isn’t that Preseli?

JamSandle · 21/06/2023 18:52

I would go with Cicilia which isn't quite on the list but close :)

Purpleboat · 21/06/2023 15:24

Cecilia is my favourite, but think it also depends on middle names surnames and sibling names.

Surname would be Froud and sibling is a Toby
