Zoë or Amber?

Magenpie100 · 16/06/2023 11:04

We have been through every name that has ever existed.. or so it feels! Little one is now 4 days old and we’re down to these two.

Her big sister is Indigo, known as Indi.

I prefer one, husband prefers the other. Would love to hear some other people’s anonymous thoughts to help us out! Thank you :-)

Zoe is a Princess
Amber is resin

lemonyellows · 16/06/2023 11:07

Amber without a doubt. Zoe sounds dated

Alsobeyondshit · 16/06/2023 11:08

Amber. Much nicer than Zoe.

SnapPop · 16/06/2023 11:09

I prefer Zoe, but I wouldn't bother with the dots over the e as no one else will!

BoohooWoohoo · 16/06/2023 11:10

I wouldn't use the dots above Zoe too.

I prefer Amber but Zoe is a good name too.

OrangeSmartiesTasteDifferent · 16/06/2023 11:10

Firstly, congrats on baby 💕 Do you want 2 daughters with names of colours? I am named Amber, the joke of red and green gets old. Having said that I think Indi and Amber flow better than Indi and Zoe and I am forever getting comments on what a beautiful name it is :)

Kaamos · 16/06/2023 11:17

Amber

hlc123 · 16/06/2023 11:18

I like both but Indigo and Amber sound better than Indigo and Zoe to me

FayCarew · 16/06/2023 11:32

Both are nice, but which goes best with the surname?

Indigo and Amber are both colours, but it's not too obvious like something like Indigo and Violet, which is a bit to ROYGBIV

warnc007 · 16/06/2023 11:33

My daughter is Amber so obviously prefer that one, everyone always says it's a lovely name and she's the only one in her school.

PossiblyNotOne · 16/06/2023 12:14

Indi and Amber.

ImpromptuGathering · 16/06/2023 12:18

Zoë by a country mile. Cute, strong, classic, never popular enough to be seriously dated nor unpopular enough to sound "wrong".

Indigo and Amber sounds comedic to me, sorry. Posh blue and orange.

Congrats! I'd go Amber.

CallieQ · 16/06/2023 12:56

Zoe!

CallieQ · 16/06/2023 12:56

Always waiting for Amber to go green

Exactly this and congratulations 💐

LilacSloth · 16/06/2023 13:22

Congrats! Zoe - no dots. Indi and Zoe sound really nice together.

Babyname12345 · 16/06/2023 13:24

Zoë!

tossingpenniesinthepool · 16/06/2023 13:28

Amber, by a mile.

This may be because I know a Zoe I really don't like.... but also I think it goes better with Indi.
Many congrats OP!

RoseDeWittBukatter · 16/06/2023 13:31

Amber is better. I really don't like the name Zoe.

fairycupcakes · 16/06/2023 20:26

Zoë is gorgeous!! Congratulations on your baby girl, hope you are all doing well xx

Eugenieonegin · 16/06/2023 20:28

Zoe!

Pemba · 16/06/2023 20:56

Zoe is beautiful and has the lovely meaning 'life'. It's timeless.

Amber is OK though, but like pps have said, not sure if it really works with Indigo.

continentallentil · 16/06/2023 21:04

Zoe - great name

Amber is a bit 70s, and combined with indigo a bit much

BeaLola · 16/06/2023 21:08

Every name ... Margot, Beatrix, Verity, Lois, Harriet......

Of the two i like Zoe more and Amber doesn't wow me
