Zoë or Amber?

We have been through every name that has ever existed.. or so it feels! Little one is now 4 days old and we’re down to these two.

Her big sister is Indigo, known as Indi.

I prefer one, husband prefers the other. Would love to hear some other people’s anonymous thoughts to help us out! Thank you :-)

I know lots of Ambers, but I've only known 2 Zoës, both in their late 40s.

So Zoë.

Thanks so much for input everyone, we’ve gone with Amber, husband’s preference but I love it too. Weirdly Amber doesn’t bring the colour to mind first for me, the magical tree-healing story-holding stuff is what I think of.. and same with Indigo, it was always about the plant and the creative history rather than the colour, although I see why people think the ‘theme’ is a bit much..! Luckily we’re not defined by our siblings names as we grow up 🙂

Zoë meaning ‘life’ felt very relevant to me cos the birth ended up in an unexpected c-section and was a lot rockier than my first birth, but husband couldn’t get on board with it so Amber it is. Does suit her :-)

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

Amber but don’t like it with indigo

Spinningaround18 · 16/06/2023 21:38

They'd be known as the colour girls - definitely Zoe!

NBLarsen · 16/06/2023 21:59

Seeing your update, could you use both -
Amber Zoe?

NBLarsen · 16/06/2023 22:00

I also think of tree resin rather than colour with Amber.

Amber without a doubt. Zoe sounds dated

my thoughts exactly
plus indigo and Amber go well together
Amber is a bit more unusual but pretty and not so unusual people would struggle with it.

Spidey66 · 16/06/2023 22:05

note to self:rtfs or at least op’s. You’ve gone with Amber. Congratulations on your new baby x

RuthW · 16/06/2023 22:07

Amber is lovely

JamSandle · 16/06/2023 22:07

Really love both!

PollyPeep · 16/06/2023 22:33

I prefer Amber and I can see you've gone with irz congrats! Only hesitation would be saying Indi and Amber together sounds like a description - "Indian amber". But you could get around that by just saying Amber and Indi ☺️

Great choice. Congratulations on those newborn cuddles 🥰

Congratulations OP. Be warned that people are going to continue responding to your first post only without reading your update, so you may continue to get some unvarnished opinions.

Ambi and Indie. How lovely!
