After 2 DSs (Max and Freddie), we are struggling to pick a name for our baby girl due in a few weeks. Which is your most/ least favourite?

Liv
Zoë
Cleo
Robyn
Ella
Frances or Francesca
Ines

DisplayPurposesOnly · 03/06/2023 20:50

Frances or Zoë

Riverlee · 03/06/2023 20:52

Liv, nn for Olivia.

Zoe and Robyn are my favourites.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 03/06/2023 20:52

Imo Liv isn’t a name- it’s a nickname
love most of the others- Frances and Cleo especially

ines- doesn’t fit with the boys imo

Comedycook · 03/06/2023 20:56

I don't like Robyn or Frances because they can also be boys names and as you already have two boys, I think you need a name that's not ambiguous. I concede the female versions are spelt differently...but the sound of them is what I mean.

Liv isn't a name.. Fine as a nickname for Olivia

Zoe and Cleo are nice enough

My favourite is Ella

MerryChristmasToYou · 03/06/2023 20:57

Favourite: Ines
Safe choice: Zoe
Like: Frances but it gets misspelt as Francis.

Francesca nice but too frilly
Liv short for Olivia or Livia is fine but Olivia too overused

MayBeee · 03/06/2023 20:59

Liv no
Zoë yes 2nd
Cleo yes 1st
Robyn yes
Ella ok
Frances or Francesca ok
Ines no

LunaMay · 03/06/2023 20:59

Max, Freddie and Cleo

Thanks so much everyone. It’s really helpful to hear your thoughts (we made the mistake of discussing names for our first 2 with family and so have not spoken to anyone this time!)

I expected another boy and so finding girl names really hard!

any further comments or name suggestions very welcome!

I like Zoe best.

Xanadu58 · 03/06/2023 21:23

Robyn and Francesca - favourites
Liv and Zoe- least favourite

SourDoughToast · 03/06/2023 21:23

I really like all of them!

Cleo is my favourite though.

dwightschrutebeets · 03/06/2023 21:23

Cleo or Ella

Watchthedoormat · 03/06/2023 21:23

Liv

Schum · 03/06/2023 21:26

Ines is lovely. Least favourite is Zoe.

Newuser82 · 03/06/2023 21:27

Ella is my favourite by far.

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/06/2023 22:02

Cleo

Gosh you’ve got some lovely names there

I love Liv and Ines, really like Robin, Frances and Cleo and like Zoe and Francesca. Ella is a bit wet- and way overused so I’d dump that.

I think Liv and Cleo sound best with your boys names so I’d go with whichever sounds best with your surname

Liv is a girl’s name. It’s Scandinavian - means Life.

mathanxiety · 04/06/2023 04:10

Most: Cleo and Liv
Least: Francesca and Ines

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 04/06/2023 05:37

Liv - not a name
Zoë - OK
Cleo - nice enough
Robyn - I like Robin.
Ella - no.
Frances or Francesca - I think Francesca / Frances are the only names that 'go' with your sons
Ines - but of a mismatch imo

useitorlose · 04/06/2023 06:41

I didn't know Frances was back in fashion - there were two in my class at school, we are mid 50s now. Zoe seems to be having a resurgence too, as I have a cousin Zoe who's a similar age to me. Zena is nice too.

TerfIngOnTheBeach · 04/06/2023 06:44

Ist Ines
2nd Francesca but she will get Fran.
3rd Zoe

Dazedandbemused0 · 04/06/2023 06:50

Liv is a full name. Doesn’t need to be short for Olivia. I like it much more than Olivia! Also love Ines.

Fiadht · 04/06/2023 06:52

Liv - I like it but would you go Liv or Olivia on the birth certificate?
Zoë - classic and nice
Cleo - unusual and I like it
Robyn - okay but not too keen
Ella - used to be my favourite but I feel it’s been done to death a bit
Frances or Francesca - I don’t like this one

I’d say my favourite is probably Liv or Olivia
