No judgement allowed.

I love so many including Murphy and Story for girls.

Also Tiger and Darwin for boys.

I have more but I'll post those when they come to mind.

What are your favourite unusual names?

Evelyn for a boy, and Adolpho. Augusta, Lavinia, Eurydice, Dakota and Aspen for girls. Wouldn't use any of those but I like the sounds.

BreviloquentBastard · 17/05/2023 16:55

I don't know whether it actually counts as unusual but I met a baby boy Rafferty the other day, combined with his very "blues musician" surname I absolutely love it. I'd never heard it as a first name before.

I also love Hero for a girl.

Not sure if they are very unusual but I love Ariadne, Isolde and Bambi for girls. For boys, I love Aspen for some reason!

Catheter and syphillis for a girl

Wrench and Flange for a boy.

LittleBumblebee3 · 19/05/2023 06:04

Girls - Navy or Laine/Layne

Boys - Montgomery (not all that unusual but the name would be ridiculed where we live)

Either - Avery

DH vetoed them all when I was expecting 🤣 Navy and Layne ‘aren’t names’, Montgomery ‘sounds like a cat’ apparently and Avery - ‘isn’t that something to do with your eggs?!’ 🙄😂 I’m assuming with that one that he was thinking ‘ovary’ 🙈

Topazbutterfly · 21/05/2023 13:22

Girls - Magnolia (As in the flower), Contessa, Emerald, Clover and Misty.
Boys - Orlando, Cesario, Horatio (I must like names ending with O lol) and Barnaby.
