Luke or Noah?

I have always loved both names. Middle name is James.

Luke James or Noah James??

Any reason behind your preference, if you have one?

ARGH I love them both equally.

Noah James. I have a Noah and James is a good middle name with it.
I have loved the name for 35 years and don’t regret it at all 😊

Noah James

I know a Noah, he's 19 and is the nicest, kindest man. He's sincere and honest and so genuine.

If my son grows up like him I'd be very proud!

I really like Noah. Luke is a beautiful name but it's really popular at the moment, Noah is lovely with James too.

I think of Luke as being a naughty boy name maybe a bit rough and Noah as being sweeter

It might depend on where you are of course, but certainly where I am there's been so many boys named Luke the last couple of years. Don't know of any Noah's. They are both beautiful names- nice and traditional, easy to spell, classic and suit all ages from baby to teen to adult to elderly gent. Smile

Prefer Luke...love that name. Good few Noah's around here but mostly aged 10 or over as it was very popular at that time. No Lukes so more original. .James goes with both.

I feel the uk is a bit saturated with Noah's at the moment, I used to love it but now on hearing it think 'oh another Noah'. Its lost its spark for me

I only know one young Luke (4 year old) but I think it's a lovely, underused name. More refreshing

In terms of popularity, last year Noah was no. 1 boys names with just over 4500 baby boys names Noah.

Luke was 112 with just under 500 baby boys named Luke

I think Noah James flows better than Luke James but there are a lot of Noah's around and he's potentially to be known as "Noah surname" through nursery and school. I like Luke more.

Luke. Lucas and Luca are popular though - #22 and #28 respectively.

Noah James is likely to be a very popular name combo.

Luke. I have one with William as a middle name. DS1 has James.
Noah is my most hated boys name. It sounds like a whiny protest, and although flows better that's largely irrelevant as both names never said together.

I much prefer Luke. Noah is done to death. But it does sound better with James - as PPs have said.

Luke. Noah is the top name atm. Every other boy will have that name. Luke is lovely and less common.

I think Noah flows better with James but the you don’t often say them together. Noah is sooo popular at the moment plus the girls name Noa is rising in popularity which makes it feel like it’s everywhere.

luke is a much stronger and nicer name imo
