One is my favourite, one is my husband's. Our baby girl is already here!

Which do you prefer?

Grace

Elizabeth known as Beth

Louisa is gorgeous imo.

bunnyrabbitsandbutterflies · 30/04/2023 18:15

Sorry Grace isn't a great name unless you are 100% certain she will end up graceful.
Impossible to know.

ourflagmeansdeath · 30/04/2023 19:15

Elizabeth known as Beth is beautiful! Grace is lovely too but I prefer Beth a lot.

emmathedilemma · 30/04/2023 19:16

Elizabeth Grace to combine the two!

Rbaby · 30/04/2023 19:29

Thank you again everyone - I am still here, reading thoughts with jnterest!

I find Grace a bit of a filler name as a middle name so I'm not sure I would use it as Elizabeth Grace.

I think we will take the pressure off and enjoy her being here for a while before deciding, check nothing else comes to mind.

Not keen on Louisa, Rosalind or some of the other suggestions. Thank you though.

I think it would help to know the names of your other children, to see which name would "go" with the others.

I like both Elizabeth and Grace. Libby would be my chosen nickname though over Beth. Congratulations on your baby!

If you call her Grace, she can’t shorten it

Don’t bet on it Grin. Gray, Gigi, Gee…

I thought Amber couldn’t be shortened, she’s been Bam to her friends for years

ScruffMuffin · 01/05/2023 19:53

Trying to think of siblings of people called Elizabeth and Grace that I know of...

Emily
Hannah

Still no closer to deciding!

Thank you again for suggestions so far

I have an Elizabeth. She's Beth at home but Lizzie at school, it has so many variations. It's a true classic name in my opinion, however biased!

NBLarsen · 03/05/2023 11:36

I would chose Elizabeth, I love it. If you're not keen on Beth you have lots of other nickname options, Betty, Lily, Libby, Lizzie, etc. Or just use the full name!

Other classic name suggestions:
Victoria
Charlotte
Matilda
Mary
Eleanor
Emily
Amelia
Alice
Helen
Lucy
Sarah
Catherine

dreamingoaholiday · 03/05/2023 11:38

Elizabeth. So many nicknames to choose from. (My name has lots of nicknames and I loved that as a child).

Grace is nice, but every other girl seems to have Grace as a middle name.

Skybluepinky · 03/05/2023 11:43

Beth, I know a few Grace’s and they were nightmare children who were always snotty and never did a thing they were told, so put me off.

LlynTegid · 03/05/2023 11:45

Beth as your DDs name, rather that Elizabeth which could be shortened in a variety of ways.

Rbaby · 08/05/2023 14:11

We still don't have a name for our lovely girl who will be two weeks old tomorrow!

Any more inspiration for a sister to Charlie (Charles on bc) and Frank?

We like classic names. (Actually we've gone off all names as we seem to be fed up of talking about it - she is currently called Baby).

Thank you 🙏
