Polly, Beatrice…?

For some reason these names keep popping into my head, although DH isn’t convinced!

How do you feel they compare to our current forerunners of Flora and Heidi?

I like all of these options. I'd keep them all on the table and decide when she arrives

I love them all but least favourite would be Heidi

Beatrice is my favourite one here. Polly is also sweet.

Least favourite is Heidi but I dislike Flora aswell just because I can only think of the margarine

Love all of them apart from Flora just makes me think of the butter immediately

I love Heidi and Beatrice. Both pretty and strong names.
Polly and Flora just remind me of brands, and are a bit boring.

Surprised by how many on this thread associate Flora with the marg 🤔 trying to decide if we can get over this association, DH doesn’t see it as a problem at all.

Polly and Flora are my favourites, by a mile!

@pancakesandpepsi associating flora with the margarine only ever seems to be a problem on here. In real life it’s not something people think about

I like Flora - dont as with Marg at all.

Heidi - not sure. Marmite name

Beatrice hs become very overused

@PickledScrump thank you for the reassurance! It’s the one thing holding me back, and DH’s favourite name by far! I’m probably overanalysing.

@Jessbow not a massive fan of Martha, thank you for the suggestion though! Agree with Heidi being marmite.

It’s probably between Flora and Beatrice. I’m finding it hard to convince DH with Polly.

I love both that's what I'd do.

All lovely names I prefer Beatrice and Flora best, she could have bee as a nickname. Flora seems quite popular to me but that wouldn't put me off, I wouldn't think of the butter association so wouldn't worry about it either.
Least favourite is Polly, not sure why just wouldn't be one I'd choose. Heidi is ok, not as beautiful as Beatrice or flora

My favourite is Polly, then Heidi.

@VintedoreBay yes that’s definitely an option, or Flora Beatrice. We do have a few family names we are considering as middle names though.

@Londonlady1423 love the nickname Bee. Interesting that Flora seems popular in your neck of the woods as we’ve never met one. I guess rising popularity will definitely make the marg thing less of an issue though!

DH has also just suggested Annie.

I dislike Polly. Heidi is one of my alltime favourites but you've said it's between Flora and Beatrice and with those I'd say they're both absolutely gorgeous so you can't really go wrong. The butter thing may get a few jokes but I think it wouldn't actually matter too much. I'd go for Flora I think.

As for Annie, it's nice but a bit bland compared to your other names.

@ourflagmeansdeath thank you for the reassurance! Heidi still in the running, DH loves it, although for me I think the other two just sneak ahead :)

Think Annie was a non-starter, have mulled it over this afternoon and although lovely I definitely prefer our other choices.

Polly is awful.

I like Beatrice and Flora. I don't think the margarine connection is as bad as people on here make it out to be.
