Hi all,
I have twin girls due in just under 2 months time and looking for some name suggestions.
Hubby and I had a few ideas but now we're just lost.
Any suggestions at all would be great.
Thank you!

Haha couldn't think of any more!

I did want to name my son Verona if it was a girl bc I was pregnant inVerona. If you have place names with significance that could be nice? Or family names?

Congratulations 😊

If I had twins I'd just use my top two girl's names.

So they'd be Jennifer and Fiona, or maybe Roxanne/Sarah/Catherine.

CharitySchmarity · 19/03/2023 13:44

My ideal names for twin girls:

  1. would not rhyme or begin with the same letter;
  2. would be about the same length;
  3. would either both have a good short form or neither of them have a good short form;
  4. would have roughly the same "feel" (e.g. not an ultra-frilly name and a tough unisex name, or a name from my mum's generation and this year's most trendy name)

Some suggestions that would fit with these criteria:

Sarah and Rachel
Elizabeth and Alexandra
Kirsty and Holly
Rose and Grace
Abigail and Imogen
Alice and Laura
Harriet and Emily
Charlotte and Florence
Olivia and Isabella
Sophie and Lucy
Amber and Chloe

When I was pregnant with twins, every twin I met said DONT give them twin names. They’re two individual people, they don’t need to match.

BevMarsh · 19/03/2023 14:21

Annabelle and Madeleine

HuggingtheHRT · 19/03/2023 14:21

Congratulations!

Nothing too matchy-matchy eg 'Molly and Milly' etc. They are individuals.

Annie and Lara
Anya and Lucy
Isla and Sophie
Alice and Hazel
Camille and Sylvie

Viviennemary · 19/03/2023 14:25

Just choose two names you like. Doesnt need to be a theme or matching initials. But I wouldnt choose one ultra modern and one traditional.

bellsandwhistles333 · 19/03/2023 14:27

Welcome to the twin club!

Definitely do different first initials. When they're older and you have post coming to the house it's easier to not have two Miss X Smiths

Heidi and Edith

35andThriving · 19/03/2023 17:24
