Any thoughts as to above. If we ever had a 4th dc, Molly would be my girls name..

It's slang for ecstasy if that bothers you

I'm afraid I've heard too much Euphoria (thanks dd) to be able to take it seriously

dizzydizzydizzy · 26/01/2023 12:27

It's a nice name. Good choice.

Hoppinggreen · 26/01/2023 12:28

My DN is called Molly and while she’s a sweetheart she also looks like a Geordie Shore wannabe and acts as if she’s brainless (which she’s not).
I blame her parents rather than her name for that though but I does mean that when I imagine a “Molly” I see sweet but dim with a lot of make up and not a lot of clothes

I have a wonderful, charismatic, beautiful & hugely attractive friend called Molly (I say “attractive” because she’s so fun to be around & followed her dreams, despite familial opposition, which I really admire in her). So it evokes very good thoughts for me!

Molly is musical and works hard at school.
She’s a bit of a homebody and doesn’t take risks.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 26/01/2023 12:31

My mum (mid 70s) is Molly. She's fit and keeps active, looks a lot younger.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 26/01/2023 14:26

I know a very very cool adult Molly. She is very beautiful and has lived all over the world. It's a great name.

LimitlessSky · 26/01/2023 14:29

I know a Molly and watched her grow up. She’s opinionated, helpful, kind and a chain smoker!

TheYearOfSmallThings · 26/01/2023 14:29

I basically picture Molly Ringwald at different ages.

shinynewapple22 · 26/01/2023 14:31

I picture her as someone who is popular, happy, pleasant and friendly . Also she has dark wavy hair.

Smartiepants79 · 26/01/2023 14:34

I love Molly.
Classic but not very common.

Tuesday591 · 26/01/2023 19:21

To me Molly is energetic, spirited and kind. I picture dark or red hair

Yes, this.

Eixample · 26/01/2023 21:04

The only Molly I know is a rocket scientist.

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/01/2023 09:21

Molly is Jolly

It’s ok, it’s a bit slight though

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/01/2023 09:22

.. I know it’s usually a full name these days but I think it’s better as a shortform for a Mary related name like Marianne or Maria.

TimeToFlyNow · 27/01/2023 09:23

I've just started a new job and Molly started at the same time, early 20s , incredibly bright and really nice

Mrsjayy · 27/01/2023 09:23

Yes I went to school with a Molly but I think her name was Mary Anne she still goes by Molly .

Soubriquet · 27/01/2023 09:26

My dd is a Molly.

I like her name. She likes her name. No problem

DuckDuckNo · 27/01/2023 09:27

To me Molly is a strong woman who speaks her mind. Probably because I read a lot of Molly Ivins (American journalist) back in the day.

MiniDinosaur · 27/01/2023 09:29

It’s a bit wet.
child: brown hair, does her homework
teen: insta tan and eyelashes
adult: good friend, works as a hairdresser

SpringSparrow · 27/01/2023 09:31

There were three Molly’s in my dd’s class. It seemed to be a very popular name in the early 2000’s.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 27/01/2023 09:32

I know an adult Molly who've I've known since she was born (I'm much older), and it's suited her for all ages. I'd say it's a name which carries across all ages, like Emily or Grace.
