A narrowed down shortlist…please rate the following names!

Penelope
Heidi
Maeve
Erin
Astrid

Love Maeve, Astrid (went to uni with an Astrid) and Heidi.
Erin is everywhere here and don’t like Penelope, too old/twee.

My order of preference would be:

Erin (ahead by miles!!)

Penelope
Heidi
Maeve (all 3 okay, but not a huge fan.)

Astrid (Don't like at all.)

I really like Erin and I like Penny but not Penelope. Astrid is ok. I think Heidi is outdated now and I’m not keen on Maeve.

Penelope by far.
Then Maeve. But that does give me a dreary feeling.
Heidi is just twee and a bit silly to me.
Erin’s OK, but I do think you need links to Ireland.
Astrid is OK, but slightly odd if you haven’t got Scandinavian heritage. I don’t think you are meant to pronounce the D either, so it’ll be mispronounced. I think that’s why Ronald Dahl’s sister was called Astri, instead.
