I like Chloe best (sorry I can't do the accent). It's beautiful and timeless. You will probably get people saying it's dated, just because it was very popular in the 80s and 90s (I think) but so what? Other people will say 'chavvy' because it has been popular across all social classes, but again that's nonsense, it's still a classic name. Khloe on the other hand, they might have a point with that..

Have you also considered Zoe, similar and even more beautiful imo?

Jaybird43 · 05/01/2023 04:49

I love Freya, such a pretty name. IMO, it’s much nicer than Chloe or Scarlett

Pemba · 05/01/2023 04:50

Your others are all OK, well Scarlett is a bit faddy and might date, I prefer Charlotte. Gigi I wouldn't use as a full name, it's quite cutesy and juvenile. Also the character of Gigi in the musical is a young girl being trained to be a courtesan when she's older which is a bit of a creepy association. It could be OK as a nickname for a more complete name, not sure what though.

Chloe

Chloe is lovely imo.

Scarlett sounds very harsh to my ear.

Freya sounds wispy to me.

Mia - yes, too popular, and also wispy.

Isla is extremely common, I've met ten so far but I've only met one Iona and she's 30.

Chloe. I met a baby called Chloe the other day and thought how lovely it was to hear it on a little one. It’s a pretty sounding and looking name. For how popular it supposedly used to be, I’ve never come across many.

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 05/01/2023 07:44

Chloe is lovely, although I do prefer Cleo. Freya reminds me of fraying fabric and I dislike the scar sound in Scarlet. Why on earth is your daughter involved in baby naming? If you like Gigi then use it!

GoodbyeLondon · 05/01/2023 07:55

Chloè spelt like that with the accent going up to down would be pronounced chlo-eh. That isn't the French or English pronunciation. I wouldn't put the accent on it unless you're using a different from a country where it's traditional.

GoodbyeLondon · 05/01/2023 07:55

I'd vote for Freya

Rauha · 05/01/2023 07:56

Freya

Mumofgirls2017 · 05/01/2023 08:15

Freya

Twoinapod · 05/01/2023 08:32

Freya definitely

Theoldwoman · 05/01/2023 09:00

Freya

SallyWD · 05/01/2023 09:04

I love Freya. It was quite popular 20 years ago but not anymore. It's a lovely name. Also like Chloe. Scarlett - I'm not that keen on.

Snoopystick · 05/01/2023 09:06

Chloe or Freya. Dislike Scarlett.

AnotherNameChangeYes · 05/01/2023 09:08

Freya is also hugely popular, I like Chloe. Not a fan of Scarlett as it’s quite harsh sounding. They’re all quite popular really.

Freya was the 6th most popular girls' name in 2021 in England and Wales! I do like it but prefer Chloe, which is one of my favourite names.

FreyaHazel · 05/01/2023 10:51

I really like Chloe or Freya, I think either of those would be a great choice. Would be easier to pick just one if we knew middle names and surname. I'm not a fan of Scarlett.

brusselspout · 05/01/2023 11:10

Chloé or Chloë never Chloè

DuchessOfSausage · 05/01/2023 18:10

Chloe - don't use the wrong accent. Chloe is nice but was #1 25 years ago and now #52, so seems dated. Gets shortened to Chlo.

Scarlett - I quite like it but it is on a steep downward drop in popularity

Freya - the most popular on your list at #6 and has been popular for a long time

Mia - not as popular as Freya at #9 but has been very popular for a long time, and there are other similar names like Maia and Maya popular. I don't like how it sounds like Mere

Gia and Gigi - don't like either. I think people might say Ghia for Gia and Geegee for Gigi. Gigi makes me think of 'Thank heavens for little girls'

LilacSloth · 05/01/2023 21:28

Chloe 💗
