What is everyone’s thoughts on Suki. Would be our 4th daughter. It seems familiar but unusual at the same time. Other name we are considering us Willow so would be interested in people’s thoughts on both x

I think Suki is cute and I love the meaning. It's short and sweet

SingingSands · 29/12/2022 16:41

There was a Suki at my school. The boys used to ask if she'd "Suki me off". Grim.

Snoopystick · 29/12/2022 16:46

I think Suki is lovely - have only known of one. Heard of lots of Willows but that is ok too. Suki will stand out.

MissGroves · 29/12/2022 16:48

Suki makes me think Japan - I have absolutely no idea why though...🤦🏼‍♀️

Purplemagnolias · 29/12/2022 16:49

I too think of Japan... maybe the Suzuki association?

AnuSTart · 29/12/2022 16:49

It's badass!
Love it!
Also love Anouk.

Suki is a pets name, as is Willow.

SwedishEdith · 29/12/2022 17:02

I'm saying it in my head and I really don't like it. Sounds hard - that k sound. As it sounds like a cat's name, what about Tabby/Tabitha or Kitty?

Polly put the kettle on. Suki take it off again.

knew a Suki, at school, mega rich parents, so thats ok then. Susanna is a lovely name, rich, melodious, Suki is a bit flat, fine for calling the cat in, SukiWillow is better. If your surname is Lear, you could call her Shanda. Best to wait until baby is born, when you see her, you may well call her Rosie.

Can definitely say she won’t be Rosie as that is her sister’s name!

I'd assume you were Korean.

StopStartStop · 29/12/2022 23:35

Great name for a cat.

It's because it's a Japanese name.

I love this name!

TortillaChipAddict · 30/12/2022 20:05

Instantly thought of the Belfast tea company but probably not relevant if you’re not in NI!
