Is it a chavtastic name or am I just being swayed by a couple I know?

We have Liam or Alexander, I think ALexander sounds so much less scrotey.

Liam is a lovely Irish name - Gaelic version of William. Yes, it has become common in this country, but I don't think it is 'chavvy'.

Alexander, on the other hand - ponce-tastic!

Xander - beyond poncewank

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 18:28

poncetastic

when did Liam become chavvy?

There was a boy in my class called Liam - I think that was the time that it was fashionable before

It may just be that I know a couple of kids called Liam and they erm could easily be Wayne Rooneys?

Ignore them. Chav is just shorthand for not fitting in with mc values. Liam is a lovely name.

Arghh, this is so hard.
DP'S middle name is William, after his g/f so would be a nice family name iyswim but I dont think I know any kids called Alexander, not one.

PMSL @ 'like Wayne Rooney'

i personally love Alexander and Xander, Alex as pet names.

William is lovely, i would have had a Dexter William if this one was a boy.

Has your girls name choice been abandoned now?

I dont know Scorpio, I really dont know, I like it and dont know anyone else with it but I worry it's too much like DD's.
