First thoughts on Noa Valentina for a girl? I'm flipping between loving it and thinking it sounds like a porn star 😂

Valentina is lovely.

Noa not so much. Too easy to confuse with Noah.

TangoBrava · 03/12/2022 17:38

Love Noa. And it Valentina means something to you, go for it!

RambamThankyouMam · 03/12/2022 17:46

I like it!

Pinkychilla · 03/12/2022 17:47

Beautiful name

Snowdropsarelovely · 03/12/2022 17:47

I'll be honest, I love Valentina but I really think that Noa will be confused with Noah

Kanaloa · 03/12/2022 17:52

I like Valentina - I looked after a little Martina a while ago who was called Tina, I thought it would be really old fashioned but actually it was really cute. So I think Valentina and even Tina are really pretty.

I’m not keen on Noa. I know lots of little boys named Noah so to me it seems like a boy!

Luckingfovely · 03/12/2022 18:04

I think the other way would be better. It sounds like a jewellery brand to me, with a definite whiff of stripper. A bit try/hard maybe? I love the name Valentina, but definitely not in this combo, sorry.

FlamingoBabe · 03/12/2022 19:31

LOVE Noa for a girl. Also like Valentina but I’m not sure it flows in a nice way?

SnackyOnassis · 03/12/2022 19:33

Is Valentina as a second first name or her middle name? Really love it (and the flow with Noa, beautiful name) as a middle name but it might be a mouthful for a double first name!!

Rauha · 03/12/2022 19:34

I love Valentina but I don't like Noa

MolesOnPoles · 03/12/2022 19:40

I also think there might be a Noa/ Noah issue, but I love Valentina.

20viona · 03/12/2022 19:42

Lovely

ratmatazz · 03/12/2022 19:45

Valentina is lovely. Strong name.

Noa is kind of trendy isn't it, same as lots of short girls names ending in A. It will date, it's a big boring.

ThereAreNamesAndThereAreNamez · 03/12/2022 19:50

Don’t like Noa, it already sounds dated, I’m afraid. Stick with Valentina. By association, it seems that Tina will be making a comeback too if Valentina becomes any more popular.

Purplemagnolias · 03/12/2022 19:57

Noa is beautiful! Much nicer than the male Noah. I know a lovely adult Noa.

Valentina is a nice middle name. I wouldn't use it as first name as it's quite long. Nicknames Val or Tina are less nice.

Go with Noa!

Geamhradh · 03/12/2022 20:03

I really like Noa whereas I find Valentina a bit meh. (but that's because I'm in Italy and a teacher and there lots of them. I have 8 classes and each one has at least 2. Think it must have been the Emily of its time about 16:years ago)

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 03/12/2022 20:12

I don't really like it, sounds like a supermarket brand perfume. But it's not a horrible name, each to their own.

welshpolarbear · 03/12/2022 20:15

I love it, I think it flows well and sounds beautiful.

FayCarew · 03/12/2022 20:43

That's me on 15 February.

FayCarew · 03/12/2022 20:44

sorry 14 Feb.

Valentina as a middle name.
I generally love really short simple names and Noa has been a firm favourite for a while. I find Valentina too long/frilly for my tastes for a first name but something drew me to it for a middle name, just to contrast a bit with the simple first name.

What about Nola?

Melsy88 · 03/12/2022 21:00

Don't like that at all, but thanks for the suggestion.
Noa is a definite. Just deciding on middle name.

I think it flows well and to me it doesn't sound strippery. Middle names aren't used much so even if it did, if I liked it I wouldn't care.

I love the two together as first and middle! The elegant simplicity of Noa is just really well set off by the decadence of Valentina. It's a beautiful name - and good luck with your impending arrival!
