Classic or dated? Due a comeback? Weird associations?

Paired with the right middle name I quite like it!

StarlessSea123 · 29/11/2022 22:01

I really like it, I think it’s elegant and classy.

fairycupcakes · 29/11/2022 22:16

I like it! Due a comeback :)

Thinkwicebeforeyouleavemylife · 29/11/2022 22:23

I love it. So many nice nicknames and good as it is, for all ages. Suits lots of surnames and sibling names. Timeless.

PacificallyRequested · 29/11/2022 22:26

Dated and quite possibly cursed!

UrsulaPandress · 29/11/2022 22:29

Which nice nicknames?

ThatshallotBaby · 29/11/2022 22:29

Beautiful name.

Rarenamer · 29/11/2022 22:30

My friend has just had a baby Diana, I love it!

KirstenBlest · 29/11/2022 22:47

Beautiful. I know 2 but they don't use the same spelling as they are not British-born/heritage.

Dogtooth · 29/11/2022 22:50

Just makes me think of car crashes, sorry

MyTabbyCats · 29/11/2022 22:50

It’s beautiful.

vinegarychips · 29/11/2022 22:52

I love it, beautiful name. The nickname Di I don't like.

Drinkingwineandposting · 29/11/2022 22:52

I wouldn't. I'm only commenting because you asked. It is a nice name, a lovely sounding name and maybe it is due a comeback... but I don't see it. Which is a shame really.

Eranzer · 29/11/2022 22:56

It's my ultimate favourite girl name (that I couldn't use because it would have been daft with our surname). Strong, classy, elegant.

Purplemagnolias · 29/11/2022 22:56

Beautiful name

DirectionToPerfection · 29/11/2022 22:57

I like it. The associations will fade with time, they already had until The Crown came along.

FiveMins · 29/11/2022 22:58

Always thought it was a bit dull

MrsSkylerWhite · 29/11/2022 22:58

Don’t like it, sorry.

JackandVera · 29/11/2022 22:59

Will always be "Dirty Diana".

GlassDeli · 29/11/2022 23:06

Lovely name. She was the Roman goddess of the moon, forests and the hunt.

Drinkingwineandposting · 29/11/2022 23:12

JackandVera · 29/11/2022 22:59

Will always be "Dirty Diana".

Really? I am not sure I agree!

Dontaskdontget · 29/11/2022 23:35

Due a comeback. Problem is you’re asking on a website where most people are age 40s.

carefulcalculator · 29/11/2022 23:44

Princess of Hearts.

I'd assume you were a fan.

Butterbeer4All · 29/11/2022 23:47

Beautiful name

mishl · 30/11/2022 07:45

Depends. The English pronunciation sounds a bit dated to me - and there's also the not-very-nice nickname of Di. The European pronunciation - which has the Dee sound, rather than Die - doesn't.
