Your thoughts on the name Luna?

Our baby girl is due on the 4/11. We have decided on Luna for our baby girl, I looked at the meaning of this name and I love it. Any other name beginning with L would be appreciated.

Virtually every dog on our park is called Luna.

I like Luna better than all of those though!

It’s a pretty name, but it’s too popular for me to consider. If it bothers you I think Luna will date, as it’s risen so quickly and is now plateauing. Personally I don’t think the dog association is a problem. I know more dogs called Bella than Luna. Most dogs at the moment have human names, and often names people like for dogs will overlap with popular names for babies. And the Luna trend will end before too long, so I’d guess many of the canine Lunas will be dead by the time your daughter is an adult.

Other L names are Leto, Lilac, Linnea, Lumi.

Good name for dogs and cats.

It’s got popular really quickly out of nowhere and I think will keep rising. It could date quite badly due to this.

If you like it use it! It's popular because it's a nice name.

I don't know many kids that would think about it being associated with wolves or the moon and use that as a weapon. Kids don't think that deeply anymore - there's so many names now

Very popular HP name, one of my DDs loves Luna Lovegood and another DD loves Luna Loud from the Loud House tv show.

There was a Luna in my youngest DDs nursery, she’s in reception now.
