Aidan, Eoin or Ronan

We've recently found out we're having a boy - I think we've got the name more or less narrowed down to a shortlist.

Aidan
Eoin
or Ronan?

Love all 3 but would go Aodhan for spelling of Aidan

Aiden is lovely and my favourite of your list

Love them all, great shortlist. Ronan was one of my top choices for my son.

The order I like:
Eoin
Ronan
Aidan

Ronan was one of my faves. I went with Lachlan instead (mainly cos I couldn’t have Cormac!)

Eoin is my favourite, although I do love it spelt as Eoghan.

That's not an alternative spelling for Aidan, it's pronounced differently.

All lovely names OP, I'd have Ronan or Eoin above Aidan.

Aodhan is a completely different name.

I'm imagining a class with Ronan, Rowan, Roman, Roland, Robin, and Rory.

Eoin would stand out well.

@IShouldBeWriting Why would there be a class like that, though? None of those names are even in the top 20? Only Roman and Rory are in the top 50.

I would definitely choose Aidan rather than Aodhan.

I don't even know how to pronounce Eoin but that may not bother you.
I like the other two - probably Ronan as top.

I like Eoin or Aidan. Agree that Aodhán is a completely different name. I pronounce that as Ay-awn.

I'm yet to meet a Ronan who wasn't a bit irritating.

All nice names. My order of preference:

Eoin (for those who don't know, it's pronounced in a similar way to Owen)
Aidan
Ronan

I just keep hearing those names and it amused me.
I would read Eoin as "Yawn" but I would ask.
I like Aidan too.

Eoin will be a PITA for him if you aren’t in Ireland. Owen is alright, but Ronan much nicer anyways.

I was going to say that I have watched a Ronan grow up. He is now 15, is a great all rounder, and a very impressive young man.

So it would be Ronan for me!

Mind you Murder, he is the only Ronan I have ever met!

I have no idea how to say Eoin so I would say Aidan.

Every Ronan I have ever met has been lovely! I love all 3, great names but given family connections, I would go with Eoin.
