Boys name you weren’t quite brave enough to use?

Struggling to think of another boys’ name. I like names that aren’t super popular - so i’d love to hear your boy name choices that maybe were ever-so-slightly too “out there” for you to use!

@HauntersGonnaHaunt probably should have left the last two off the list, they were more in the category of 'names DH didn't like'.

Though I am glad I didn't go with Ryan as I have now been exposed to Ryan's Workd, ugh.

Bodhi, River, and Oakley but wouldn't use them.

Could I ask why this name would require being brave? What is ‘out there’ about it? I ask because it’s on our list and wondering if I’m missing something 😆 Thanks.

I'm having another girl so haven't used any boys names (just as well as I couldn't find either I wanted during either pregnancy) but these are the names I/we considered this time.

I guess it depends on where you live but some of these names I can’t imagine ever being out there. I guess though it depends what the definition is to people. My son’s name is traditional but was out of the top 200 names when I chose it. To some maybe that’s out there.

Ziggy! We chose it as a middle name instead!

Corin and Kim. I adore these as boys names, which they traditionally are, but so many comments about them sounding too girly out me off.

I loved Mowgli but it was vetoed 😏 still think the meaning of little frog is so cute.

DS has a different name that is outside of the top 100 names and we only know another 2 with his name. I also have never come across another in 33 years of teaching. I like this!

Not too strange but DP's favourite name for our dc was Kellan,
I wasn't keen because it was too close to my brothers name but then we had a girl anyway.

I love foreign names for boys particularly, but given that both me and DH are VERY British (as in, no foreign ancestry for at least 4 generations) we decided against using them as didn't want to offend anyone who may know more about the origin of the names and possible negative connections 🤷‍♀️

I like Inigo too, the only place I know it from is the assassin in Terry Pratchet's Fifth Elephant.
