Boys name you weren’t quite brave enough to use?

Struggling to think of another boys’ name. I like names that aren’t super popular - so i’d love to hear your boy name choices that maybe were ever-so-slightly too “out there” for you to use!

Some great names on here!

I always liked Rufus. Also now like Cassian, Soren and Willoughby to name a few!

Rowan
Alden
Adric (I heard this one in Europe not heard in the UK but it reminds me of a cross between Adrian & Patrick)

What's 'brave' about most of these names Confused?

They're much more interesting and memorable than the common names like Alfie, Oliver or Jack!

I'll hazard a guess .... most people offering names did not have their son this week or within the past month.

The 'out there' nature of the names would relate directly to the time in which they were considering those names not today.

@Lilacsunflowers Sorry! My response was intended for @VeganSoulFood.

My DS is Milo.

He hasn't met another one yet!

I know one who would be early twenties now.

Isambard would have been such a cool name.

Caspian, Gabriel, and my ultimate favourite - Ambrose.

Barleysugar86 · 09/10/2022 15:27

Lysander for me. Such a beautiful name but I was worried it would sound pretentious.

mumonthehill · 09/10/2022 15:37

Both of my ds names are on these lists, however I was not brave enough to use Gilbert and I love it still.

2bazookas · 09/10/2022 15:39

I favoured Jason for our firstborn...until DH said "That's a German Shepherd kind of name".
