Archie for a girl?

Having second girl in December and just watched the Lazarus project and there is a character Archie (think shirt for Archana in her case)

Never met a female Archie but it's growing on me. But can't shake the fact she'll likely always be expected to turn up and be a boy unless it really catches on in popularity!

Thoughts?

One of my fave actresses is Archie Panjabi. She’s an Archana. I have a boy Archie and think it’s a fab nn for a girl.

I was thinking of her as well, but didn’t know it was short for Archana. It sounds so pretty. I think it might be cultural appropriation if you’re not of that culture though?

I used to like the name Archie but I got put off as a couple of people I don’t like have sons named this. It’s definitely a boys name, and it wouldn’t sound very nice on a girl. There are plenty of nice girls names (and unisex ones) which aren’t “princessy”. Please don’t do this to your poor child. What about Arabella?
