Cordelia Pearl or Cordelia Rose?

if not Pearl or Rose, what middle would you pair Cordelia with?

Anything you want, perhaps a family name?

Middle names NEVER get used. I don't even have one.

Not Rose, Grace or May, or any other filler middle name.
I don't like Pearl, but Margaret means pearl and is nicer

Grin I think, with the very greatest respect, if you have never possessed a middle name you may not appreciate the myriad of ways in which they can affect your life!

It would be nice to use something from your family, OP - so your daughter can feel she’s part of a continuum. Otherwise:

Jane was my first thought too. The J sound seems to run well after Cordelia, so if that’s too plain you could have:

Jean - this would sound so cool
Raine - would work
Antoinette - actually not impossible.

True, what I meant was that I have never missed one, that nobody has ever asked me about one! That middle names don't get used much..!

I think it's nice to use a family name if you have one you like. I love Cordelia by the way Smile

MoleAtTheCounter · 04/10/2022 10:10

Cordelia Jane. It gives an option for the nickname CJ.

Forfukzsake · 04/10/2022 10:14

Cordelia Sue
Cordelia Rae

Happenchance · 04/10/2022 10:16

You could go for a filler middle name, cheery y/ie name or embrace the Gothic:
Cordelia Maeve
Cordelia Rae
Cordelia Ruby
Cordelia Zoe
Cordelia Raven
Cordelia Morgan
Cordelia Persephone
Cordelia Winter
Cordelia Ivy
Cordelia Tempest

Cordelia Kate ❤️

candyflossxox · 04/10/2022 10:21

Rose

ChocolateSpreadOnToast · 04/10/2022 13:06

Not Rose as everyone has Rose. It’s just a filler name.

Luana1 · 04/10/2022 13:37

Cordelia Pearl out of your two choices, Rose is just so boring and as someone said a filler name (unless it has some personal meaning to you).
Cordelia Willow is a nice combo I think too :)

Maisymay12 · 04/10/2022 13:53

Cordelia Ruth

Theoldwoman · 04/10/2022 13:57

Cordelia Rose is lovely .

I also love:

Cordelia Kate
Cordelia Frances
Cordelia Mae
Cordelia Lucille
Cordelia Jane

One of the options I had if I’d had a daughter was Cordelia Jane. I love Cordelia (both from the Shakespeare play and Buffy 😂) and Jane after Austen. I think it flows well and two classic names together.

My other option was to be Esmeralda Mary, after my favourite Pratchett character and Mary Wollstonecraft & Mary Shelley. Mary could go with Cordelia too, but I prefer this way around.

Mumofgirls2017 · 04/10/2022 14:21

Definitely Cordelia Pearl!

MadisonAvenue · 04/10/2022 14:22

Jane

Fivebeanchilli · 04/10/2022 14:23

I really dislike single syllable mn's. So I would pick:
Cordelia Emmeline
Cordelia Sophie
Cordelia Amelie
Cordelia Elspeth
Cordelia Ruby
