Evereigh or Aliannah

I do prefer less common names and have been looking online and come across these. I like modern names more than the classic top 10 names like olivia, lily etc… Aliannah can be shortened to Ali for a nickname which i like. Everleigh isn’t very common over here in the UK but quite well known in the US which i dosent bother me too much. Which one do you prefer?

I like Everly but would spell it like this. I’m not keen on Allianah - I would choose Elliana, Alana, or Elena instead.

’Unusual’ spellings usually just mean the parents didn’t know how to spell or wanted a normal name spelt ‘different’

Ayanah is also nice.

I have a daughter named this with a slightly different spelling.

It is a name heard in Latin America, Spain, Italy, and Romania. My parents are Mexican so I thought I would honor my heritage with her name.

My daughter was born in England (she's 21), her father is English, so you could only imagine the strange pronunciation she's received over the years from people in the UK. It's nice that other people have heard it in England.

It's funny that Everly is quite popular these days, while Beverly not at all. Poor old Bev.

I always think Everleigh would be a good name for a nursing home.

Alianna is much nicer, but your child will have to correct a lot of people who think it's Arianna.

They are a bit trendy.

I would change the spellings to Everly and Aliana.

I'd pick Everly.

I can't say I love either. They both strike me as being made-up names (are they?), which perhaps doesn't have the best connotation in this country. I can understand not wanting to use an popular name, but there are ways of finding an unusual name without going down the "made-up" or "odd spelling" routes. Aliannah (my phone autocorrected it to Alannah, BTW) will get "Alannah?" or "Eliana?" or "Ariana?" a lot.

strong dislike for everleigh. With every spelling! Everley is awful with so many Es it just looks ridiculous. Just really dislike it.

The spellings will be a headache (and look a bit twee imo).

As pps have said, Everly and Aliana are better.

If I had a child I would likely call her Everleigh (or Everlie I'd have to think about the spelling really 🤣)

Everleigh sounds like an insurance firm to me.

If you didn't want Ali as a nickname you could go with Alien - that was my first thought when I saw Aliannah.
They sound like they're 'younique' names which basically screams chav unfortunately.

I really dislike both names.
