4 day old baby boy with no name

I gave birth to a beautiful, dinky 5lb little boy on Monday afternoon a few weeks early, so we hadn’t yet settled on a name and we’re still struggling to choose one for him. I hoped I would see him and know which name was “the one” but none feel right. His older brother is called Reuben. Please can you give your opinions on the following names and give any suggestions for us?

Names on our list:

Jasper
Maxwell
Edwin
Joel
Jacob
Toby
Sebastian.

Names we like but can’t use:
Ezra, Eli, Archer, Joshua, Oscar, Isaac.

I was thinking Joel and then I saw it on your list . I think Joel is lovely and goes well with Reuben

I think Jasper is top of my list too at the moment but DH still unsure.

A friend of mine took 6 weeks to name her child, and chose John. 🙄

Joel is nice and so is Edwin.

Are you me? My now 6 week old was nameless for the first 4 weeks and we have identical shortlists apart from Joel! If you love Jasper go with that :)

I think Reuben and Joel sound really good together.

All your names are lovely but Sebastian, Toby and Maxwell are my favourites (although I like Tobias for Toby)

Joel, Seth or Elliot Jasper seems to informal after the gorgeous Reuben.

Baby is gorgeous, love it when posters show off their beautiful babies.

I am cuddling my 3 month old Jasper at the moment so perhaps I am biased. A name I loved but couldn’t use was Roman.
