bloody hell, mom2latino, how on earth could she get pregnant without knowing the word vagina??

mom2latinoboys · 19/01/2008 15:55

Well lulu,

It it's someone that isn't very educated (ie never had sex ed, or high school for example) and always heard it referred to in slang (ie. "fanjo", "nether regions", or my personal favorite "hoo-ha") I think it is quite possible. I really do believe that there are people that don't know the correct terms for their body parts.

"Hello my name is Vagina, and these are my sisters Areola and Clitoris, and I'd like you to meet my brother Scrotum"

lulumama · 19/01/2008 16:26

LOL!!! brilliant

Blandmum · 19/01/2008 16:29

Do you like this name?

But I only want you to agree with me.

I will flounce if you don't, and accuse you of being a snob.

What do you mean, the other kids will tease? They tease anyway so why shouldn't I call my little darling Premature-Ejaculation?

We might abbreviate it to Ejac

fullmoonfiend · 19/01/2008 17:45

If Robin is an acceptable name for a child, why have Swallow, Bluetit, Shag or Chough never reaLLY CAUGHT ON?

VictorianSqualor · 19/01/2008 17:47

Likewise with Warren, why not set, den and kennel??

fullmoonfiend · 19/01/2008 17:49

Think Kennel might catch on.

Prunters · 19/01/2008 17:49

Franny, I could send you my list of boys' names
THe one I wrote when I was high on pregnancy hormones
It's...not what I might choose now.

controlfreakygobshite · 19/01/2008 17:59

ta ladies. this is v funny/
now, ...... what do you think of ragwort (for a boy) and cardoon (for a girl, obviously).....?

fullmoonfiend · 19/01/2008 18:02

oh god yes. Hormones! I was a) Young and b) a hippy and c) as flaky as a bowl of Kellogs with the hormones.
I remember aat one point thinking Oak was a very sturdy, Thomas Hardy-esque name for a little boy...

And at one point (totally addled and on planet la-la) waking up with the name Seven in my head. ''But darling, it's my favourite number and it looks so lovely written down. People will get used to it...'' NO-one should be allowed to choose a name until pg hormones have GONE!

My boys ended up with very nice, normal names somehow.

expatinscotland · 19/01/2008 18:05

i think we should link this with the 'Adults with Unusual Names?' thread .

I worked with a chap called Kinnell, F&Z.

He was one cool dude!

controlfreakygobshite · 19/01/2008 18:05

(err, are you pregnant / hormonal?)

fullmoonfiend · 19/01/2008 18:10

VictorianSqualor · 19/01/2008 18:12

I really want to say the three names of a family I grew up with but the girl might be on here or someone might know her!

fullmoonfiend · 19/01/2008 18:13
