What are your thoughts on Florimund for a boy?

Aquamarine1029 · 16/07/2022 19:16

Sounds like a species of mould.

Daffodilsdance · 16/07/2022 19:16

It’s a no from me , sorry . Florian as an alternative?

SharpLily · 16/07/2022 19:17

Is this a joke?

PizzaPatel · 16/07/2022 19:17

To put it mildly, it’s not for me

Thefriendlymoth · 16/07/2022 19:17

Sorry, I literally snort laughed and assumed this was a joke post.

What are the reasons you like it?

MissStarry · 16/07/2022 19:18

Sounds like a yeast infection sorry.

CharlotteOH · 16/07/2022 19:18

Florimund is gonna get picked on at school cos he sounds like mouldy Flora. Sorry.

Also what would his nickname be? Flo?!

DramaAlpaca · 16/07/2022 19:20

It's a bit, well, flowery. Especially for a boy.

CliffordDanger · 16/07/2022 19:21

Moribund.

TiredYorkshireMam · 16/07/2022 19:22

Was going so say it wasn't great, assumed for a girl.

Would be very surprised if that's actually a boys name.

Princessoftheuniverse · 16/07/2022 19:23

Thought it was going to be for a girl. It sounds like an air freshener. Please don’t.

Divebar2021 · 16/07/2022 19:23

I assumed it was a new drug being trialled. How about Fabian? I once met an exceptionally handsome American soldier who was called Fabian. ( it turned out his name was really Billy but I will always think of the name fondly) 😀

TripleSeptic · 16/07/2022 19:23

With food, no alcohol. Sounds a bit like medicine. Florian much better.

17caterpillars1mouse · 16/07/2022 19:28

I came across it as Prince Florimund whilst reading my daughter Sleeping Beauty. I've always quite liked Florian and Edmund so wondered what others think. Clearly it's a no lol

OP posts:
Thefriendlymoth · 16/07/2022 19:49

Florian or Edmund are both quite fine. The combination of the two, I think you’d legitimately have to be a prince to pull it off.

FlissyPaps · 16/07/2022 19:53

Sorry OP, it’s awful.

Florian sounds much nicer!

MadMadMadamMim · 16/07/2022 19:57

Florimund would be a target for getting the shit kicked out of him at most schools round here...

alphapie · 16/07/2022 19:58

No

CaptainCorellisXylophone · 16/07/2022 20:16

No. No again. Hard no.

Moonshine160 · 16/07/2022 20:28

Aquamarine1029 · 16/07/2022 19:16

Sounds like a species of mould.

Laughed out loud.

JennyForeigner · 16/07/2022 20:40

You could call his sister Florizel

😆

Sloebluewalls · 16/07/2022 20:40

Awful but I like Florian

Spanielsarepainless · 16/07/2022 20:40

Dreadful.

Primatrying · 16/07/2022 21:14

I thought it was interesting as I wasn't sure if it was a boy's name from Florian + Edmund, or a girl's name from Flora + Rosamund. It sounds made up.

Tbh I've heard worse suggestions on here but it's not something I'd choose!

Cas112 · 16/07/2022 21:15

What😂
