Ella

NannyR · 12/07/2022 11:11

Leah is a fantastic name.

Hotinnit · 12/07/2022 11:13

Leah

AmandaMirandaPanda · 12/07/2022 11:29

Love Leah. I think Leia has the same roots, but I'd go with Leah (or possibly Lea) in an English-speaking country.

KirstenBlest · 12/07/2022 11:44

I don't really like any of them. Lily and Ella are nice but so overused.
Leah is biblical but I'm not keen on the sound.
Leia is too Star Wars
and Mia has been overused and sounds like Mere

Sofedupofitall · 12/07/2022 11:51

I like Lily best but also along the same lines is Leila / Layla which is lovely.

nananess · 12/07/2022 11:55

How would you all pronounce Leah?
Lee-ya or Lay-ah?

I do like Ella 💗 How about Elia ? I would pronounce it El-Leah. I was considering this name if we had a girl. But found out it's a boy now Daffodilx

KirstenBlest · 12/07/2022 12:02

Elia is an italian boy's name, @SweetMelody19 . Means the same as Elijah

Marymary987 · 12/07/2022 12:05

My child has a Leya in their class, I really like it as it’s a bit more unusual. From your list I prefer Leia which I presume is pronounced the same.

Hoolahulahoop · 12/07/2022 12:06

Leah is pronounced Lee-ah. I really like lily. What about Emily ?

SweetMelody19 · 12/07/2022 12:07

@KirstenBlest it can actually be used for both. Not just for a boy.

KirstenBlest · 12/07/2022 12:11

It's a boy's name @SweetMelody19 . There are girls called Luca but it is still a boy's name

RuthW · 12/07/2022 12:13

Ella is the best from that list

Leah = lee-ah
Lea - lee

KirstenBlest · 12/07/2022 12:31

I'd say Leah as Lee-a or Lay-a.
I know a male Lea and someone with the surname, both say it as Lee, and also a baby girl whose parents say it as Lay-a

Dreamingof3 · 12/07/2022 18:29

Not my style but I'd choose Leah out of these (lee-yuh)

Leia will always be star wars to me. Ella and lily are too overdone and have become a bit nothing-y. Mia makes me think of naughty kids for some reason 😂

Mydogatemypurse · 12/07/2022 18:30

I love leah its beautiful

daisypond · 12/07/2022 18:43

Leah. It’s the strongest name, with a long history.
Leia is too Star Wars.
Mia and Ella are a bit nothingy.
Lily is nice, but 20 years out of date and has become bland.

anotherscroller · 12/07/2022 18:47

I like all of them.
there is a pronunciation thing though it’s there?
for me it’s the opposite to a poster above, for me Lea is leh-a and Leah is le-y.
maybe poll the people around you on the pronunciation?

PancakesWithCheese · 12/07/2022 19:22

Leah.

Mia and Ella are so overused and bland.

Selinna · 12/07/2022 19:25

Leah (Lee-ah)

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/07/2022 20:47

Ella I guess

samebutdifferentt · 12/07/2022 20:56

What about Lila?

DramaAlpaca · 13/07/2022 00:00

Lily or Leah for me.
