Terry and...

JulyDreams · 12/07/2022 00:01

Struggling to be honest. It's a very nice touch to a family name but I'm not feeling it.

Nice name remind me of June brown.

JulyDreams · 12/07/2022 00:06

@heartbroken22 yes! Although I can't imagine calling a little girl that name. There is something I'm not too sure on at all and I can't put my finger on it.

Juno, the Roman Queen of Heaven, maybe?

I rather like plain June, though. It feels strong & uncompromising. Could well be due a revival.

Passmethecrisps · 12/07/2022 00:25

It has family significance for us so I will always be extremely fond of it. It’s not really very different from April or May as names but I don’t know how common they are.

one of my children has this as a middLe name

DramaAlpaca · 12/07/2022 00:42

It's the sort of name I might choose as a middle name.

SpaceJamtart · 12/07/2022 00:42

I find it a little flat and boring, its a bit of a bran muffin type of name
And not a particularly nice sound, even though I really like Juno

user1477391263 · 12/07/2022 03:44

I really like it, but if you don't like it, don't use it---family connections be damned!

ReeseWitherfork · 12/07/2022 03:52

There was a character on the TV show Bitch In Apartment 23 called June and I’ve loved it ever since. I know a Juniper who just gets called June (personally not a fan of Juniper but I know it’s quite popular now).

Primatrying · 12/07/2022 05:55

Makes me think of the Handmaid's Tale.

TheBikiniExpert · 12/07/2022 05:56

I like it.

Makes me think of the Handmaid's Tale.

Me too. Strong, kickarse.

Mydogatemypurse · 12/07/2022 05:58

I like it but instantly thought of handmaids tale and dot cotton

DashOfMilkNoSugar · 12/07/2022 06:11

I used to work with a June, she was born in December, I never understood that. She had terrible handwriting.
Not a fan of month names really, although if I had to pick one I’d choose April.

MassiveSalad22 · 12/07/2022 06:12

Love June! Also Jean. Also Joanie, can’t quite get on board with Joan yet.

JasmineVioletRose · 12/07/2022 06:13

Juno or Joni instead?

JasmineVioletRose · 12/07/2022 06:15

Jeanie / Joanie ?

Actually June sounds quite cute!

I don't think anyone younger than 40 will think of dot cotton.

PermanentTemporary · 12/07/2022 06:15

I know a small June. It's lovely because she is, but I have to say it's not my favourite name.

Annoymousy · 12/07/2022 06:22

I like it! But Juno, Juniper and Juni are more “trendy” similar names if you can’t quite decide about June.

Merryclaire · 12/07/2022 07:41

I like June - have also considered it

ofwarren · 12/07/2022 07:49

I think it's nice
Reminds of of June Osborne from the handmaid's tale.

Krakinou · 12/07/2022 08:16

I think it’s really pretty. Unpretentious but strong, and probably the best month. I definitely prefer it to Juno, Juniper etc.

Trixiefirecracker · 12/07/2022 08:16

Love it!
