Boy's Name Please - unusual but not whacky

Me and husband can't decide on a boy's name.

I like names that are unusual. I don't want Fred or John or James, although they are lovely names.

Celtic would work, we are British.

My husband favours traditional names but I just want something that stands out.

Ideas are so welcome and appreciated, maybe we can agree on something from the list as we haven't been able to agree so far, and it's important for us to agree.

Finn is one of the most popular names of the moment! Sorry, can't believe someone suggested any of those, they are not rare or unusual at all.

This is the first time I've seen DS's name on a baby names thread! It's definitely unusual as only 2 boys have been given the name in Scotland between 2000-2020.

Asher is lovely! It's a biblical name but rarely used!

Also Ezra is another unusual but biblical name.

I do love a biblical name and afore Gabriel (Gabe).

Or I also knew a Quartermaine when I worked as a nursery nurse... he was known as Mr Q 😂😂😂

If popularity is important to you, I'd check the popularity of name suggested here. I've seen plenty of top hundred names suggested which would be too popular for me. if you are in England and Wales the Dark Greener site is a great resource, as it plots the ONS data over time, so you can see if a name is picking up in popularity.
