Middle name for Beatrice

We have chosen the first name ‘Beatrice’ if our baby is a girl, but we are struggling to come up with a middle name. We have a very long double-barrelled surname that starts with a T (think along the lines of Turner-Parkinson), so we don’t want anything too long.

We quite like classic names and flower/nature inspired names.

Please suggest away!!

Daisy 🌼

Beatrice and a double-barrelled surname are quite upmarket so I think a 1-2 syllable sweet and simple middle name would balance it out.

Something like Daisy or Fern.

May?

linerforlife · 25/05/2022 19:53

May is nice. Mary, Joy, Hope, Amy, Ivy, Iris could work too.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 25/05/2022 19:55

Mary

tootrueblue · 25/05/2022 19:57

For me, it would have to be Beatrice Rose

DaisyCMcD · 25/05/2022 19:57

How about Claire?

This would be my suggestion. Sounds really beautiful

FayCarew · 25/05/2022 20:00

Not Rose, Grace or May.

Mary is a good suggestion. Ann would be short and sweet as would Kate

RewildingAmbridge · 25/05/2022 20:02

Ann or Anne is a good suggestion, simple classic , starts with a vowel as opposed to the other names she'll have

RewildingAmbridge · 25/05/2022 20:03

Rose Grace and May are ubiquitous

stoneysongs · 25/05/2022 20:03

I think middle names are nice if they have a meaning to you, either because of someone you know or because of the name meaning. It's nice to explain that to children as they grow up. It's so rarely used (when baby is first born and when you get married!) all in one go that what it 'sounds like' is completely unimportant. How about... Asking a grandparent for suggestions, naming after your female grandparent or a 'family name', using a name which means brave, loved or kind.... So many possibilities but only you know what's important to you.

Agree they are just unimaginative filler names!

How about a nature/jewel name (that isn't Rose!)

Beatrice Willow
Beatrice Hazel
Beatrice Ruby
Beatrice Pearl
Beatrice Iris
Beatrice Jasmine

FayCarew · 25/05/2022 20:16

Beatice Ruth

Fern is nature one that is short.
