How would you pronounce Phyllis?

I like the meaning of foliage and I pronounce it FILL-iss, therefore I like the name. Is that correct. I also love Felicity with nickname Fliss and Lissy.

Love the name Phyllis. It's the sister in The Railway Children and I loved her character

I knew someone called Felicia and people shortened it to Fliss. Remember my dad saying it sounded like a disease that horses might get, as in 'The horses have all gone down with Fliss, sir!'
