Don't see why not.

Tillsforthrills · 19/05/2022 08:15

Technically yes, is it advisable? Absolutely not.

SpaceMaaaaan · 19/05/2022 08:17

I think people call their dogs of either sex Sky.

KangarooKenny · 19/05/2022 08:18

You can, but you shouldn’t.

standoctor · 19/05/2022 08:34

Why would you want to?

nearlyspringyay · 19/05/2022 08:34

Why not I guess, but I wouldn't.

alorslanon · 19/05/2022 08:35

I mean, you could

FayCarew · 19/05/2022 08:36

I wouldn't want to call a child/pet Skyler.

Call a boy Sky? Theoretically, but why would you so that to him

Guy sounds similar and is nice

ShippingNews · 19/05/2022 08:36

Nopety nope nope nope. Poor kid.

toastofthetown · 19/05/2022 08:37

Sky has been consistently used for a small number of boys over the years. I think it’s a name where most would assume Sky is girl when written down though.

Happydays321 · 19/05/2022 08:37

You can but you shouldn't, it's a girls name.

lightfalling · 19/05/2022 08:42

Yes, I know a boy called this. It might be spelt as in the Scottish Island though - Skye.

Its a nice name, its his name. Its really not a problem.

Scabbyknackers · 19/05/2022 08:43

Nothing stopping you but I don't think it's a great idea.

PleaseYourselfandEatTheCrusts · 19/05/2022 08:45

Sky(e) is the name of Sophie's boyfriend in Mama Mia.

Isn't their a female Skye in Paw Patrol? I think I wouldn't use it for a boy for this reason because for little kids this is probably the only place they here the name. You don't really hear it for boys.

PleaseYourselfandEatTheCrusts · 19/05/2022 08:46
  • hear the name.
User3568975431146 · 19/05/2022 08:47

No

HotMess21 · 19/05/2022 08:48

Absolutely!

Firebird83 · 19/05/2022 08:55

Yes, I actually prefer Sky/Skye for a boy.

TalesOfDrunkennessAndCruelty · 19/05/2022 08:56

Don’t forget Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls.

Trinacham · 19/05/2022 08:56

Well, yes Skyler/Skylar is unisex. I have a male cat called Skyler. I personally wouldn't use it for a child.

Trinacham · 19/05/2022 08:57

Happydays321 · 19/05/2022 08:37

You can but you shouldn't, it's a girls name.

It's always been unisex.

Muddywoof · 19/05/2022 08:59

I've never thought of it for a boy before but quite like it.

bertieb7 · 19/05/2022 09:00

Definitely! The boy from mamma Mia was called Sky.

Happydays321 · 19/05/2022 09:03

Trinacham · 19/05/2022 08:57

It's always been unisex.

Clearly you are correct!
I stand corrected.

GrimDamnFanjo · 19/05/2022 09:04

How about Kai?
