Twin Brother for Ambrose??

Me and my partner have already decided on the name for one of our twin boys and he’s going to be called Ambrose.

we wanted opinions on which name for a bother would go best and we’re open for suggestions, on our list so far we have

i like the nickname Bram and it will be used among the family but I do expect he will get different names when he makes friends and he can chose to be called what he would like

...thing is if you call him Ambrose but he's known as Bram he's going to spend his whole life explaining that?

This is a weird and really far-fetched proposition.

I have a BC name which is not the name I'm known by. It's not at all an impediment to any aspect of my life.

"Pleased to meet you, X, I'm Ambrose Surname, call me Bram". End of conversation on the topic of names.

I know one Ambrose under age four and two aged between four and twelve.

It's not an outlandish name.

Siblings of the ones I know are Evelyn, Lucy, Constance, Phineas, James, and Lucas. The families are all RC.

It's often suggested that the twin born second gets the name that comes first alphabetically so they don't always come second.

I like Magnus on your list , and I think it goes with Ambrose; which I also like.

Ive spoke to my partner and we’re narrowed down the names to Solomon, Magnus and a new addition of Montgomery (thanks to @KayEmAy)

Ambrose to Bram is weird.
The ones I know were never given that nick name at school.

I would do Solomon and Balthazar from your list. Ambrose sounds like a slightly pompous stuffed toy. See also Monty.

I love Ambrose. I am a great fan of E J Oxenham’s Abbey Girls books in which Ambrose is a wise and saintly monk whose history is gradually uncovered.

Gus isn't a nickname or shortened name for Magnus anymore than Bram is short for Ambrose
