Do you like the name Carl?
LividLaVidaLoca · 26/04/2022 17:32
Should stay in the 80s I reckon.
Comedycook · 26/04/2022 17:37
It's actually quite a nice name although does sound dated. Maybe you could start a revival?!
robbieudo · 26/04/2022 17:48
I love it - but would use Karl :-)
AHungryCaterpillar · 26/04/2022 17:49
No
miltonj · 26/04/2022 18:17
Yeah, I like it if!
toastofthetown · 26/04/2022 18:19
It’s a bit dated but there’s nothing wrong with it if that doesn’t bother you.
MinoucheSapphic · 26/04/2022 18:19
I'm not keen on it. I don't think it's terrible, but it sounds dated to me. I do like the Italian form, Carlo, though I wonder if it's wearable for a non-Italian child.
WhoppingBigBackside · 26/04/2022 18:49
1960s/70s name
Abetes · 26/04/2022 18:50
I don’t like it. Sorry,
maddy68 · 26/04/2022 18:51
Not keen
SunshiningBoo · 26/04/2022 18:53
I like it.
DoodleBelle · 26/04/2022 18:54
Awful. Way too soon for a revival.
Aquamarine1029 · 26/04/2022 18:54
Awful.
Ihatethenewlook · 26/04/2022 18:55
Not for me
DramaAlpaca · 26/04/2022 18:56
No. It's awful.
FishFingerSandwiches4Tea · 26/04/2022 18:57
I like it! Prefer it to the infinite Oliver/Oscar et al
PukkaP · 26/04/2022 18:59
It's my DH's name, but I don't like it. He doesn't either.
Silversprinkles · 26/04/2022 19:12
Sounds very 80s to me but not in a good way. The Carls I knew were rough as fuck in neon shell suits pretending to be boxers and trying to pick fights in the street every Saturday night.
Sorry
Amandasummers · 26/04/2022 19:16
Not a fan, don't mind Karl as much even though they're pronounced the same!
MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 26/04/2022 19:48
I don't mind it at all, surprised so many people are vehemently against it. Prefer it with a K though.
Indiana2021 · 26/04/2022 19:50
If you use it don't move to Scotland as it would be pronounced as Carol.
rahjama · 26/04/2022 19:51
I don't like it either

Quite like Carlo actually
But not Carl sadly. Same era as Martin, Gary, Neil etc.. very dated
timestheyarechanging · 26/04/2022 21:25
No but I'm opinionated as it's my ex bf name!
17caterpillars1mouse · 26/04/2022 21:31
Not a fan, but I think Carla for a girl is gorgeous
