I quite like both names but Heidi stands out more. Short, vowel-y names are really popular at the moment (Evie, Ava, Arya, Ella, Elsie etc.) and I feel like Esme just blends in with them.

Heidi though I do know an Esme who is far from being wet (martial arts and very intelligent).
