Beautiful. Too long for my style personally, but a stunning name.

Kanaloa · 17/03/2022 00:41

Lovely. Unusual but a name most people have heard because of King Arthur/Merlin stories/programmes/films.

Tamworth123 · 17/03/2022 00:50

Thank you.

Guin or Guinnie for short

Confused

Bullied for what? I mean some names (apricot ahem ahem) are silly but this is just a normal name. Not every child is named Emma or Lucy (both lovely names though) and kids will meet people with different names too.

Cupcakegirl13 · 17/03/2022 02:42

First thing that sprang to mind was the national lottery sorry 🤣🙈

unicornpower · 17/03/2022 05:31

Meh, reminds me of ‘You’ personally, not a massive fan

babynamelover · 17/03/2022 06:10

It's a lot but beautiful.

BottleBrushTree · 17/03/2022 06:20

I like it

My Mum was flummoxed until she saw it on her lottery ticket.

Googled this and there seem to be both a film and a TV series called "You". I've seen neither; is it an association with a character that causes you not to be a fan?

I wouldn't say she's a bad or unlikeable character she unfortunately gets stalked and eventually killed, and even though I enjoy the series she didn't spring to mind when I saw the name.

I think its a pretty name one I didn't like at first but the more I hear the more I like :)

I was thinking it could be Genevieve if she prefers.

I love both Guinevere and Genevieve! Beautiful names with lovely shortened options. Go for it :)

AfterSchoolWorry · 17/03/2022 09:35

I adore it ❤

FayCarew · 17/03/2022 18:50

I don't like Guin or Guinnie but Guinevere is ok.
Gwen's nice and could be a nn

toastofthetown · 17/03/2022 20:35

I don't like it. But I find the gw- sound universally unpleasant.

Roselilly36 · 17/03/2022 21:05

I don’t like either, sorry.

TatianaBis · 17/03/2022 21:15

Absolutely love and it would have been DD's name if it hadn't sounded v wrong with our surname.

Love Guin too. I know one who's nn is Niv.

If they live in a multicultural city it would barely raise an eyebrow.
Saisong · 17/03/2022 21:18

I'd never be brave enough, but I kinda like it.

I know someone with the Welsh version - Gwenhwyfar, but she mostly goes by Gwen

NETSRIK · 17/03/2022 21:26

It's a beautiful name
