Annabel or Jasmine?

What do you prefer:

Annabel or Jasmine?

I prefer Annabel (although would spell Annabelle)

I know both an Annabel and a Jasmine. The Jasmine is doing better in life if that is any help.

Both of these are on my list.

Jasmine.

I know too many slightly posh, slightly thick stroppy teenage Annabelles.

I prefer Annabel. I actually know a girl with the name, but she spells it Annabelle. I always liked the sound of it.

One is really boring, and it's not Jasmine

That's interesting already that a few of you prefer Annabelle spelt with -belle. We preferred this spelling until I read on Mumsnet that most people seemed to think it was too "frilly" and that the classic British spelling was Annabel... I'm just confused now. I'm not British so -belle looks nice to me - especially as we're thinking "Bella" as nickname

I like them both - very pretty

I love Annabelle.
I love Anna and Belle so wouldn't know which to use for a nickname.
I also like Jasmine but don't like Jaz.

Jasmine is lovely. Annabel is quite an 80s name.

Annabel. Its a pretty and proper name.
I dont really like Jasmine, i think hearing teens shouting 'Jaz' to their friends when they are walking down the street is a real put off for me personally.

annabel is more classy.
but jasmine ok too.
makes a change from the usual micky-mouse names on here.

Annabel is nice as well. I'm glad you're considering that spelling, Annabelle is way too fussy.

Jasmine always ends up shortened to Jazz, which is trashy imo.

Annabel is more elegant sounding

I have one of each so would consider myself an expert on this subject - albeit one is a cat - I will let you figure out which one.
And Annabel is the correct British spelling.
