Which do you prefer?

Simple surname.
Is Vi an inevitable nickname for Violet? We love the name but not keen on Vi at all.

Like both girls names equally. Rory for a boy.

If you call your kid Isaac (perfectly nice name) he will be Isaac S (or whatever your surname initial is) u too he leaves school.

Violet and Rose are both less common names so either is great. By common I mean occurs often, not being insulting.

Much prefer Violet to Rose. I know a Violet who gets an affectionate Vi-Vi from family but is Violet to all and sundry really.

Much prefer Rory to Issac, can’t unhear ‘sack’.

Violet is Ok but it's very likely she'll get called Vi.

And I have just realised I probably like Rose and Isaac because they are the middle names of my DD and her DP!

I've worked with kids for almost 20 years plus 2 kids who've attended clubs and school for almost 16 years and I've never met more than 2 of either!

In West Midlands with 3 dds at primary, I only know of 1 Isaac, no Rorys, no Rose but several Rosies and no Violets but perhaps that's because I'm not round babies at the moment..

Isaac and Rose. Not so keen on Violet and Rory is a nightmare if you have even a minor issue with some sounds and becomes warwee.

I don't know any young Isaacs, Rorys or Roses but know a few Violets.

I think Vi is the most obvious nn for Violet sorry! Can’t get on board with the name but know lots love it.

Love both Violet & Rose! And Isaac is my favourite boys name, so definitely Isaac for a boy 😊
